I am so sorry that you are having this same problem. I did have the brake booster reprogrammed back on 2007 for around $800 at my local dealership, and no it was not covered by the extended warranty I purchased from them when I purchased the car. I did not have the problem again for about 7 months and then it started up again. I had no luck with either Nissan ... Read More
I have a 2006 armada. Back in 2008 the brakes went out and brake light did go on. We managed to get home very slowly. Next day we were going to have it towed but turned the car on and no problem. We still took it into Cambell Nelson Nissan In Seattle where they rebooted the VDC control unit (basically the computor) Well then again today 3 yrs later, it did ... Read More
Hi everyone, My Armada has about 7 months left on the lease and I have already reached the 45,000 mileage allotment. I have not changed the brakes as yet either as it has been used for mostly freeway driving with one passenger. I have a fantastic monthly payment and have tried getting into a newer model with the same payments but have been unsuccessful in doing so. In all honesty, I ... Read More
At about 7000 miles on my 2008 Armada, my odometer went away. The display went blank where the odometer should be. Took it to the dealer Monday and they spent 2 days with it before deciding it was going to take a while to fix and they got me a rental car. They said they had never seen that before and had to call Nissan engineering to figure out out to ... Read More
Hi Matt. Nissan is no longer providing lease support on the 2008 Armada. as a result, if you were to lease one through Nissan Motor Acceptance Corp., you would have to use its standard lease program. Its program for this truck varies by term and mileage allowance. You never mentioned what either of these variables are, so for now I will assume that you are interested in a 36 month lease ... Car-Man, Would you kindly provide the current money factor and residual % for a 2008 NIssan Armada LE in Westchester County, NY. Also, is it true that december is typically the best month to lease the previous model year vehicles from import companies? Also could you provide the average financing rate for a purchase through NIssans captive finance company for a purchase of a 2009 for someone with good-excellent credit (credit ... Read More
My 04 has been nearly trouble free (had to tighten a sway bar, and had the brake upgrades done by nissan, both covered under warranty). For the $ you aren't going to find a more comfortable, capable vehicle. As with any vehicle there will be bad ones and good ones. Just the luck of the draw. I haven't heard any catch fire like the new GM SUVs I heard on the ... Read More
My question to you guys is I am in the market for A new large SUV & I love the 2008 Armada, but from what I read like Consumer Reports, J.D. Powers and most of the unbias consumer mags. They rip on the Armada like no other large SUV on the market. I have owned several Nissans & they have all been great cars. Is the Armada that bad of A ... Read More

Hi mcbobbyk. Dealer invoice is an excellent selling price for a leased 2008 Nissan Armada. Nissan Motor Acceptance Corp.'s current buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 39 month lease of an '08 Armada LE 4WD with 12,000 miles per year are .00123 and 51%, respectively. Using these numbers, an MSRP of $52,400, and a selling price of $47,400, I come up with a zero down, pre-tax monthly ... Read More
I had a total loss engine fire on March 6th, 2008. I noticed a strange, but strong odor while driving my '05 Armada (27,000 miles). Thought it was a truck next to me. Drove 3 miles to my kids school to pick them up. When I started the ignition again, two puffs of smoke came out either side of the engine. Quickly got my 5 & 2 yr. old children out. ... Read More
At first, I was going to just get the 7yr/75K extended warranty. Then I did the math and realized that 75K over 7 years amounts to an average of 10,714 miles per year, which is not enough for me since I plan on taking it for road trips because of the comfort. So, when I finally picked up my completely loaded 2008 Armada LE 4WD a few weeks ago, I upgraded ... Read More
For my completely loaded 2008 Armada LE straight from Nissan so no miles (see below for all the options) with all-season mats, Nissan hood protector/bug deflector, and Nissan Gold Preferred 7 year/100,000 extended warranty w/$50 deductible, I paid $44906 (included a $249.95 "procurement charge" which I didn't bother negotiating). The MSRP on the vehicle without the all-season mats and hood protector was $52,460. __________________ 2008 Armada LE 4WD Smoke Preferred Package, ... Read More

I have no experience with other navigation systems, but am pleased with the Armada system. The display is easy to see and has touch screen and voice commands. We first used it on a trip from Oklahoma to Florida and it worked great. I have not seen a need to update the software. If you elect the XM radio feature and Navtraffic, you will get road construction/delay information. You can access ... Read More
I just bought a 2008 Armada LE over the weekend (see details in the Prices Paid category) and they offered me a "Nissan 1" warranty for 5 year/75,000 miles for about $3,250, which I declined. I think they were trying to make up a little money due to the fact I got a pretty good price on the vehicle. He told me the Nissan 1 warranty could only be purchased when ... Read More
I just purchased a silver 2008 Armada LE 4X2. It has the technology package, premium package, floor/cargo mats, cargo tray, and cargo net. The out the door price with tax and license was $40,443. Take a look at the 2008 Consumer Reports Buying Guide and you will see a huge improvement in the frequency of repair history for the '06 Armada versus the two earlier years. Granted in '06 there was still lots of room for improvement, but if you read the posts here from owners of '07's and '08's there seems to be a clear trend towards improvement. CR has continued to predict low ... Read More
I just saw your listing. I feel for you I own a 2005 Armada with the same problems. I wrote letters upon letters, complained about the brakes, the dealer could frankly give a crap about us owners. I finally contacted a lemon law attorney. Well it's been about 6 months and this month Nissan has agreed to buy it back. It's not a bed of roses, I am making out better ... Read More
Thanks for the info. So far the best price that I have found was $1892 for "0" deductible and $1625.00 for the $50.00 deductible 84 month/70,000 miles on the Gold Preferred protection package. This is for a 2008 Armada SE 4x4. I'm hoping other's will post what they paid too, I'd like to purchase the plan soon, but would like to get the best price possible for it.

I had this exact same problem occur repeatedly with my 2005 Infiniti QX56 (it's the same as the Armada). No matter how much any one out there defends Nissan and the Armada. The plain simple truth is that they have had these front problematic undersized brakes on the Armada since 2004. And yes the few defenders of Nissan will state that the last computer TSB finally fixed the problem. I beleive this is the 3rd TSB. Why are so many owners of the earlier models being mis informed by Nissan ... Read More
Did you do the deal? That was a great price. I'm looking to get the same set up. MSRP $50,610 incl detination charge, Your $39,816 was $10,794.00 off that price. That's the best deal I've seen posted here. Like to hear if you bought or leased and the details. Tom
We would like to purchase a 2008 Nissan Armada SE with some of the optional packages such as the moonroof package, driver package and the premium package. We've been looking around and I priced one out with the MSRP of $41,675. However, I'm seeing that some of you paid $100 or $200 under invoice. Is this really true??? Right now, in SD they are offering 4500 off as a rebate. How ... Read More

Nissan has agreed to buy the piece of crap back, but they are dragging the process out. Before I have to sign papers that ... Read More
Hi Kip. If its lease program is not as attractive, it is very possible for a less expensive vehicle to have a higher monthly payment than a more expensive one. Let's work up a lease payment on this truck using Nissan Motor Acceptance Corp.'s current lease program to see if it really would be less expensive to take advantage of the customer cash and lease it through an independent bank. According ... Read More
After purchasing a new 2008 Armada LE 4X4, I found that the owners manual prohibits the use of tire chains! Nissan wants us to purchase 18" wheels and tires if we are to use chains. That's expensive and I'm very disappointed. Has anyone out there used tire chains with 20" inch wheels and P275/60R20 tires sucessfully? Thanks in advance.
Hi philly70. Through July 2nd, Nissan Motor Acceptance Corp.'s buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 36 month lease of a 2007 Nissan Armada LE 4WD with 15,000 miles per year are .00130 and 49%, respectively. I think I know the best way for nissan to fix the brake problem! The Armadas since introduction have used only disk brakes. BIG MISTAKE on nissans part. The armada should have vented(ventilated) disk brakes front and rear. That should fix the brake problem and thus achieve shorter stopping distances! The only acception to this rule is the smaller Suzuki Grand Vitara that has disks in the front and drums in ... Read More
From 8500 miles I have driven my 2006 Armada, it seems the vehicle is well built. If I remember correctly, Armada was introduced in 2003. So, Nissan had almost three years to iron out all the issues with Armada. If Nissan is not able to fix all the issues including brakes within three years, I think no one will trust Nissan any more. What ever experiences I had with 8500 miles ... Read More
I heard that the '06 is just starting to have the same problems. I would stay away from the Nissan altogether!!!
