I have a titan truck 2004 and let me tell you I had my share of warp rotors, front and rear, mainly fronts, Nissan covered me up to 75,000 miles and now on my own, so I did alot of research on brakes and bought the slotted/ dimpled rotors for the front and rear, and semi metallic pads, I only have 200 miles right now on these rotors so time will tell. i have a 2004 ARMADA, when purchases in MARCH it only had 43k miles on it. i have taken it to CARMAX and to NISSAN on Several occassions to deal with the ABS system shutting down. At first they told me there was nothing wrong, I was mistaken,. If the ABS light didnt come on. then it wasnt the ABS.. I can confirm that you are being lied to! The brakes are no different whatsoever. Car dealers will tell you anything to get you to buy. I would strongly urge you to avoid buying one of the early Armadas. They had lots of problems, not just the brakes. When Nissan opened the assembly plant in Misssissippi, they had huge quality control problems that they even admitted ... Read More...

We are about to purchase a 2004 Nissan Armada. We have been doing our research. We had read about the front brake problems. When we asked the dealership about it, he said he called Nissan. He told us it was only in the U.S. We live in Canada. Can anyone confirm this? Thanks. Read More...

It was in the control panel. We took the vehicle to the Lemon Law procedure Nissan had one more shot at fixing our Armada. They said the engineers finally figured out it was an electrical problem. We have not had a problem since. I would take your Armada into the dealer and tell them that there has been a break problem and you want your Armada fixed. Also tell them about ... Read More...

I just saw your listing. I feel for you I own a 2005 Armada with the same problems. I wrote letters upon letters, complained about the brakes, the dealer could frankly give a crap about us owners. I finally contacted a lemon law attorney. Well it's been about 6 months and this month Nissan has agreed to buy it back. It's not a bed of roses, I am making out better than trading ... Read More...

There is no reason for that brake pad to fall out. If the vehicle was in for service and the dealer thought the brakes were that bad they would not take that risk and allow you to leave without strongly encouraging you to let them fix it. My truck is also an '04 but I bought it in Feb 2004, before these problems were really made public. Of course, I think I am right and I am sure Nissan thinks they are too. We will have to see what happens. Like I said, the brake pad fell off while I was backing out of my driveway with my 2 little sons in the car.
