Help Car Man

Car Man I'm looking at a 2009 loaded Altima Hybrid which I want to lease for 24 months with 18k miles per year (will Nissan allow that?) in California. What's the current money factor rate using a Tier 0 or Tier 1 and what's the residual value for that car for that many miles and term. Also, do you have any of the same info available for a 2010 loaded with an MSRP of $35k? ... Read More...

Re: 09' Loaded Hybrid Paid $28725 after rebates - good deal? [gianni24]

I just bought a fully loaded 2009 Nissan Altima Hybrid for $27,320 in the SF/Bay Area. I used the internet (edmunds) for my purchase and am satisfied w/ the process. I negotiated remotely with several dealers in my area and nailed it down to a 1 dealer w/ the best price. After we finalized the price, I asked for the "out the door" (OTD) price and prepared my own spreadsheet. ... Read More...

Re: Altima Hybrid Mileage [wayne8888]

I currently own a 2007 Toyota Camry Hybrid and was very seriously thinking about buying new 2009 Nissan Altima Hybrid but I never pulled the trigger. The Nissan just didn't seem as "smooth" as the Toyota, although I think it drives better. I also had heard that the NAH did not quite equal the fuel economy of the TCH but I never heard it being as bad as you experienced. ... Read More...

2009 Hybrid Test Drive and Purchase Experience

I just purchased a 2009 NAH fitted with the technology package at Tonkin Nissan in Wilsonville, Oregon. The final cost was about $24K after a fat $3,500 Nissan rebate, a $2,350 federal tax credit, along with a $1,500 state tax credit, and there is no sales tax in Oregon. The dealership experience was very good. The staff was friendly, professional and well informed. ... Read More...

Portland, Oregon, 2009 Altima Hybrid Technology Package

We just purchased a 2009 NAH fitted with the technology package at Tonkin Nissan in Wilsonville, Oregon. The price was just over $28,000 after the $3500 Nissan rebate available through June of this year. Moreover, there is also a very nice $2,350 federal tax credit coming, along with another $1,500 state tax credit here in Oregon. Therefore, the final price ... Read More...

Re: 2009 Altima Hybrid Lease Numbers -- Need Feedback [r000]

Many thanks for confirming my feelings, and steering me clear. Already looked at an 08 Lexus and you are dead on with your comments. I find the Nissan salespeople, my experience and reading others, to be the typical pushy, lying, game-playing stereotypes. Read More...

Re: Any word on the 2009 Altima Hybrid [jsyaruss]

Nissan usually starts the new year production after the 4th of July. However, Hybrids have their own schedule and may not produce the 09's right away. I am a good case in point. Last year, I ordered a NAH with tech. It was not produced until October and delivered shortly after Thanksgiving. That was a real timetable. The tech may have had a delayand they may produce ... An Altima Hybrid Buying Experience. Need advice

Re: The NISSAN Hybrid ALTIMA [emgr]

I've had mine for about 4 months, for reference. The switch is noticeable, but not dramatically so. The car doesn't make major jerks when it turns on or off, but you can usually feel it. Frankly, I prefer it this way--coming from driving a manual prior to this car, it lets me keep "in tune" with the car similar to how shifting did previously. The complaint I do have ... Read More...
