2014 Nissan Altima 2.5 S 4dr Sedan (2.5L 4cyl CVT)

I decided to buy the 2.5S because it was by far the best value for the money I bought it during the Presidents Day sale $5000 off MSRP Driven for 600 miles in three weeks Found nothing wrong it (so far) A CVT is louder than a traditional geared transaxle - just the way it is The electric pump for the power steering will make noise I can accept each of these issues because I own a 2005 Prius which has a CVT and more than one electric pump The Altima is a great value Very little road noise enters the cabin - except for the engine's roar Good initial build quality Nice styling inside and out Solid feel Generally comfortable ride

Best Features

Bluetooth hands free phone - you touch one button and the computer asks you what you want to do Tire pressure display Push button start Keyless entry Comfortable driver's seat Telescoping steering wheel 16 inch Michelin MXV4 tires Easy to see and use controls Large glove box Adequate storage space in cabin Large trunk Excellent sound system Front seat leg room is outstanding Automatic headlights work well Large windshield wiper blade for drivers side Cruise control on steering wheel The vehicle information screen is well placed Trunk release in cabin and on key fob Large cup holders on the door and in the center console Power seat controls are easy to use

Worst Features

Interior attracts lint - get rid of the synthetic velour Better steering feel - too disconnected from the road Redesign the door trim so that the power window and door lock controls are not partially hidden Put better quality carpeting in the trunk USB port on all trim levels Hate the steering wheel - too skinny and slippery Nissan should make leather wrapped steering wheels standard on all mid size and large vehicles in its line up One issue with the CVT is that the rpm is too low at certain speeds which makes it seem like the engine is lugging, even if it isn't Make Homelink rear view mirror standard on all trim levels Make automatic climate control standard on all trim levels

Have over 10K miles now. No issues whatsoever. Fuel economy has been excellent. Really have been enjoying the quiet and comfortable ride.
