    Can't go wrong with either.. but really depends on what you want it for.. They are cars from two different categories. Altima: Larger, more roomy, bigger trunk space, but lower mileage Sentra: Smaller/compact, but pretty good mileage Decide the size, then compare the price between a used and new car for the same car..

    Banks will almost always have high rate than credit unions. Try penfed & nwfcu. If you have excellent credit, you should qualify for either at 1.99 and 1.49% respectively.

    I'd go with the Infiniti. Excellent repair record and that engine is just a bored 3.5 which Nissan has used for years. The car was not redesigned or anything that year to any great extent so it's nothing like buying a completely new redesign or new powertrain. Resale value is good and is a lot more luxurious than the Altima. Powertrain is warranteed for 6yrs/70k I believe.

    Probably not....I have a 2009 altima, and the engine block cracked. It's a rare thing to happen to begin with and shouldn't have happened on a year old car. I am fighting Nissan to cover the new engine now. You would think it would be covered by the warrenty, but they dont just go and replace and entire engine without a fight.

    Hi gooddela2, nycmaster: Thanks for the info! I changed my mind to buy a 2.5S since I found out the 2.5 doesn't have the radio . So far, the best offer for the 2.5S is $18499+TTL. And the OTD is 20,707. Is this good? I looked in the forum and found somebody was offered 17615 Is this mainly because of different locations?

    ...remember that there's 10% CA sale tax + about 300-500 registration. Also, there was an additional 1000 cash last week. So, I think 18K + TTL today for a base Altima is good. It can be better if s/he can wait.
