I have the exact same thing with an '08 Nissan Altima 2.5SE. I just took it in last week and they said it was normal engine noise that I was hearing. Well, then why did it take until 28,000 miles for it to start if it was normal? It's only when I am stopped or going very slow in a traffic jam. It also does it just after I turn off the car. Starting at about 15,000 miles our 2007 Altima 2.5S starting to having a jerking, hesitating problem on an irregular basis. Wife just got a 2008 Altima with only one key insert and one four button Smartkey. We got another Smartkey off ebay and now are trying to find programming for less than the $90-95 the dealers are quoting. Do any locksmiths have this capability? I have a 2008 Altima that I'm generally happy with, except for the Smart Key. At the slightest touch the alarm will sound or the trunk will open. Who knows, maybe the doors lock and unlock as well. The key can be in my pocket, or it can go off as I'm unlocking a door to the house. Are there any solutions other than just putting the darn thing into a box? Read More...

I also have an 06 2.5 and get 24-27 fillup-fillup driving all highway. Not anywhere near what the sticker said. Now Nissan quotes 25-27 Highway. That is about $8000.00 more for gas over the life of the car. Jim Read More...
