How many miles do you have on your 2007 Nissan Altima? I have about 30,000. When I push hard on the brake it feels very rough and acts like it does not want to stop.
Nissan has been notorius for noisy brakes. I had a 2007 Altima that squealed bad when braking for a red light or on a slope. Dealer said they were fine but replaced the pads and turned the rotors anyway. I have since traded for a 2009 Altima but this one is different. The 2009 Altima does not squeal when braking forward. Sorry to hear these problem, I got rid of my 2008 Nissan Rogue last year while it has 6600 miles on it, why? because of the YO YO CVT. I lost a big chunk of money when I traded it in with a 2009 Altima V6 SE. So far I have no issues with the V6 Altima CVT, now I have 16500 miles on the car.
I have had 3 transmissions put into my Altima. This is completely ridiculous. And for some people on here to say that this is normal hesitating in a CVT, you have to be out of your minds! I have to look for the service bulletin link. The best thing to do is to go straight to Nissan not to the dealer. The dealer will just give you the run around until your warranty expires.
I'd go with the Infiniti. Excellent repair record and that engine is just a bored 3.5 which Nissan has used for years. The car was not redesigned or anything that year to any great extent so it's nothing like buying a completely new redesign or new powertrain. Resale value is good and is a lot more luxurious than the Altima. Powertrain is warranteed for 6yrs/70k I believe.

Allstate Insurance claim adjuster told me that this is her 3rd claim for 2007 Nissan Altima fires in the last 3 weeks. That's BS. 3 claims in 3 weeks w/ one adjuster = 365 Altimas in a year. The number should be even a lot higher b/c there're many claim adjusters w/ Allstate. 365 x top 10 insurance companies = 3650 Altimas per year.

Just looking for a 4 door, automatic, 2.5S...all the bells and whistles are not necessary. My first question would be...does ... Read More

With a powerful FWD you have only two choices, "numb" stearing or torque stearing that will yank the stearing wheel from your grasp.
