Well, you are right Choe

I would have picked the Accord, if the 03-05 looked anything like the 06 that's about to get here. But I LOVE my Altima too. I think its the best looking car in the class right now. I just try to be very open-minded about things, and seek value. :), even at 19. I inherited and still drive a 1991 Honda Accord EX, along with my 2005 Nissan Altima, so in essence, I do drive an ... Re: gmc truck [gmctruck]

Right, my point being that its NOT REAL SAFE (your own words). Also, that you have one friend who did it once.... doesnt really represent a significant slice of the market..... Max- I may be wrong, but I can only recall that the Altima saw heavy incentives (meaning the $1500 rebate currently available in the NE region) as the 2004s were being cleared off the lots. ... 2007 Altima information...

So far, little is known about the next Altima. A few folks over at Altimas.net have gotten to see a prototype of the next model and they tell us that its styling will be VERY evolutionary. It won't be NEARLY as revolutionary as the 3rd generation model. Over at Altimas.net the thread is intitled "Auto study of the 2007 Altima" These folks, who were apart of a session ... Read More...

Re: 2007 Altima [jrock65] - VERY POOR RADIO

Jrock65 - I looked at the Atlima SE-R 6-speed it was on my short list. The quality of the inside imporved over 2004 significantly and almost up to the Honda level. It had xexon lights, heated mirrors and the right color of red with balck leather interior and I could have got it for $100 over invoice with 1% financing for 60 months. It was a great car except for the RADIO. ... Read More...

I checked the competition too

My research began in high school when the '03 Honda Accord hit the market. My aging 91 Accord EX was giving me minor problems and I needed something bigger for work and for carrying my uncle and late grandmother. The Accord would be my best choice. My parents and I agreed and I gave it consideration. Every car magazine gave it top ratings. I loved the interior, the ... Read More...

Midsize Import Sedans Comparison Thread

I thought it would be a good idea to compare the top 6 import mainstream sedans: Toyota Camry Honda Accord Nissan Altima Hyundai Sonata Volkswagen Passat Mazda 6 Moderator, can you add this thread to the Altima, Passat, and Mazda 6 forums? Thanks. This segment used to be dominated by the Camry and Accord. They're still the top dogs, but other cars, notably the Altima ... Read More...

Altimas and ABS

Two-pronged question/comment: I too have had a hard time trying to find used Altimas (2002-2004) with ABS (carshopn mentioned this as well in his/her Mar 24 post). They don't seem to exist. Even when trying to "build" a new car online (this site and Nissan's), it seems that package T01 (ABS & Side Airbag Package for $800) is only availble for the Altima 2.5 S and ... Read More...

Help Me Choose!

Pontiac GP, Chev. Malibu, Nissan Altima, Toyota Camry???

I am currently looking to purchase a new car. I'm looking at 2004's and hoping to get a good deal on one. I have done a lot of research and have narrowed it down to 4. I was hoping you all could give some much appreciated advice/feedback and if you have one of the ... Read More...

Nissan Altima 98 - Problems

I have a Nissan Altima 1998 with about 58000 miles. I had an oil change done at a dealership in March 2004 and the car was running fine. However from June 28th through August 28th, I did not drive the car. When I started the car then, the oil light was on. The engine was also making a knocking noise. I took the car to a different dealership than the one that I got the oil change ... Read More...

Trade-in for 2.5S

I currently have a 2004 Toyota 4Runner SR5 that I want to get rid off in order to get a '05 Altima 2.5S. I'm trying to sell it to a private party, but if I'm unsuccesful by the end of the month I might try to do a trade-in. Does anyone know if the Nissan dealer will take my SUV for what I owe on the loan? I was planning on trying to get them to pay off the remaining amount on the ... Read More...
