2004 Altima is Wonderful

Review

I have been thinking about buying an Altima. I have own Honda Accords for the last 12 years. I should have bought the Altima sooner than I did. It's a great car which packs a great deal of power under the hood from just the standard 4 cylinder. I think it's a great buy.

Favorite Features

Automatic trunk release: actually opens the trunk fully. Clear design tailights. Very comfortable plush seat covers. manual trunk release on driver's door instead of on the floor by the seat. There is a bit more but I don't want to get carried away.

Suggested Improvements

Better interior trim on the "S" models. Also a better compartment for cd'd.

BOUGHT THIS CAR FOR MY BIRTHDAY! VERY HAPPY WITH IT! HAD A 2000 DODGE INTREPID AND IT LOOKS GOOD, DRIVES NICE, BUT STARTED FALLING APART AT 48,OOO MILES. DISSAPPOINTING! NO MORE AMERICAN CARS FOR THIS GIRL! MY ALTIMA RIDES SMOOTH AND IT IS ZIPPY FOR A 4 CYLINDER. ROOMY INTERIOR AND DESCENT GAS MILEAGE.

NICE BODY SHAPE, STEREO SOUNDS GOOD, AND NICE CHOICE OF COLORS. I CHOSE PEWTER

i love my car. i have only had it for two months, but i put alot of miles on it going to and from work. it is a very smooth ride and i love the look of the car, especially with the sunroof add on.

Great Get around town car

I do independant consulting, and after much deliberation and delay, as well as numerous test drives of other cars, i ended up with a 2004 altima. I've had it for a week, so i wouldn't expect to have problems yet ;). It has been very fun to drive, very smooth, pretty good power, and would recommend that everyone take a test drive. Would have ended up with a 2005, wiht the upgraded interior, but the $1500 rebate and tad lower negotiated price was too much to pass up. But do check out the 2005, i think the interior quality will surprise a lot of honda and toyota fans.

Seats, comfortable for the two extended driving trips i've done. Superb!

I've been researching this vehicle for two years now..it far exceeds anything else I've looked at in comfort, drive, and looks. This car as class all around.

This is a great car, run fast and have a great interior space.

But I don't like the suspension because the car is more tall in the front and look without balance.

New Altima

We have only had our Altima for a week but we love it. Great handling and cornering and terrific acceleration for a four. The engineering of the car is outstanding. We felt the Altima had a sporty feel to it that was lacking in the Camry and Accord. We traded in a VW Passat which also had great handling but poor reliability.

Favorite Features

Peppy engine, good gas mileage,comfort, quiet, large trunk with folding rear seats.

Suggested Improvements

The dash should be made of a non glare material.

Don't rush buying a Nissan at the Avenue

Review

The car looks nice. After a year the engine had to be repaired for a recall and it still rattles and using oil. The car is very noisy and rides like a buck board. Motor is slow pick up. The dealership was not up front when we bought the car. We had no vehicle and should not have rushed in buying the Nissan, usually buy Fords. We are very dissappointed in the car and very, very disappointed in the dealership in not keeping their promises. We will go back to Fords.

Favorite Features

The look of the car and the room inside is very nice.

Suggested Improvements

Do something about the road noise and help make the ride more comfortable. The motor is very sluggish. Needs to be more durable and not rattle.

This is my first 4 door car, and so far i have no complaints, its fast and peppy, lots of room. great gas milage.

Great car with a lot of guts! Beautifully designed interior and a very stylish exterior. I made the perfect choice!
