2003 Nissan Altima 2.5 S 4dr Sedan (2.5L 4cyl 4A)
I bought this car in December of 2008 with 81,000 miles on it. I knew it was a lot but i just loved the car so much i didn't care. The check engine light was on and they said they would fix it but never did. Since then i have had to replace 2 coils, the crank sensor, the catalytic converter and now it needs a whole new engine. I will never buy another Nissan and i wouldn't advise anyone else to either.
the color and body style and room is the only things i like about this car.
build a car that's not a complete piece of crap.
2003 Nissan Altima 2.5 S 4dr Sedan (2.5L 4cyl 5M)
Knock in engine started at 10,000 km. complained several times...was told it was normal. Engine replaced @ 61,000 km A strange water rushing sound in the dash. Several trips to the garage to figure it out...now it's back again. Struts were gone at 30,000 km. Dealer says they are ok. I've been in sub- compacts that ride much better. Total Brake at less than 35,000 km. Dealer charged me $1000 to repair. Doors squeak - constantly greasing them. Right door buzzer switch fell off. The door latches freeze on cold mornings and door won't shut. need to wait for car to warm up to shut door. Steering seized up and had to have the steering knuckle replaced. Simply a LEMON

Need to improve build quality and Customer service. Nissan Canada has done nothing to assist. Needless to say this is my first and last Nissan product.
2003 Nissan Altima 2.5 4dr Sedan (2.5L 4cyl 4A)
This is the worst vehicle I have ever owned. I feel I got scammed. The engine used oil from the day I bought it, with only 33,000 miles. The massive oil consumption only got worse. I took it to the garage and was told the catylatic converter had fell apart and went into the engine causing it to destroy the engine. I was informed this is a common problem with this vehicle, due to the recall on the sensor that causes this to happen. Obviously this is a factory defect. I contacted Nissan to make them aware of my problem and received no reply. Be aware of this problem.
Nice vehicle to drive if you dont mind stopping every few miles to check the gas and fill the oil.
2003 Nissan Altima 2.5 4dr Sedan (2.5L 4cyl 5M)
I bought this nissan hoping to step up in class from my ford escort, only to find numerous problems, including, transmission slippage, caused by gear ratio setup not correct. In the suspension system, I noticed extreme dampening during braking intervals on hills. My microfilter worked terribly. I would say I loved the gas mileage. Some would say 12 mph for the highway might not be acceptable, but after experiencing this car, I was just thrilled it was able to make it to a gas station. Never again will I buy a Yugo..oops I mean Nissan
The unlimited selection of greys available. Cup holder placement is superior, road noise was hardly noticeable over the static from my am radio!
Non alloy wheel covers. Ten more shades of grey paint to select from, and more cup holders
