2002 Nissan Altima Sedan 2.5 S 4dr Sedan (2.5L 4cyl 5M)

Review

Great car. After one year of use,
only 4 visits to the dealer for oil
changes and front tire alignement.
With 2 small kids, moving the family
is a lot of fun. Good cargo capacity,
easy access to the back seats. Fuel
economy is great at less than 8
liters/100 km on the highway (for
speeds of 110km/h (2.5SE version)

Best Features

Exterior looks, big gaz tank (76 liters), big trunk, confortable seating for 5 adults, good sound system

Worst Features

trunk capacity would improve with the use of pistons instead of hinges. On the highway, the handling is a little too soft.

2002 Nissan Altima Sedan 2.5 S 4dr Sedan (2.5L 4cyl 5M)

Review

Have had this car over a year now, it
has been wonderful. Only problem was a
sensor for the air conditioner last
summer, but that was covered by
warranty.
Standard maintenance is a bit pricey
using Nissan's guidelines (which I
suggest that you do), but that comes
with any vehicle. Opted for the 5 speed
manual, which is comfortable and
provides more pop to the I4 engine.
Plenty of "giddyupandgo"! Abundance of
interior room (the main reason
we bought this car instead of the
Sonata, Taurus, et al). Some of the
interior features are cheap... the fuel
fill release on the floor looks like an
after thought. Some minor squeeks which
are unexplained.

Best Features

Interior room - great. Exterior design - outstanding. Fuel economy - good. Acceleration - great.

Worst Features

Better quality on the plastic components that make up the interior. Fog lights should be standard.

Review

I was really taken aback
when I realized how terrible it
handled in snow/icy conditions. It
slid and slid, and the ABS
made huge sounds but never stopped the
car. Never felt safe in snowy/icy
weather after that. The fabric on
the seats attracts so much dog hair and
yet our dogs have never even been in
the car. And you can't get the hair
out. Twice in a year we've had to take
it to the dealership because the memory
in the computer system goes out and all
the radio settings, clock, etc. have to
be re-set.

Best Features

The body design is very attractive

Worst Features

interior fabric improved

2002 Nissan Altima Sedan 3.5 SE 4dr Sedan (3.5L 6cyl 5M)

Review

Great car for the price. Has most of
the features found on more expensive
cars and they work well. Gas mileage is
very good 19/29.

Best Features

3.5 V6 & auto transmission, handling, exterior styling........can't beat the looks

Worst Features

Interior design is great but dash and console materials are too cheaply made (Come on Nissan...you can do better).
