Hi, I bought my car last month :) , July 09, and its loaded with all except the nav system, spoiler, and fog lights at IRA Nissan in Tewksbury, MA. I love the Bose speakers and the sunroof is so sweet. I really like the CVT as I was traded in a 5-speed manual so its a totally different ride. It only took a month to stop trying to shift. I have a 2001 Nissan Altima Manual -- just had a new clutch put in and after the repair would not go into first or reverse THEN was told needed a new transmission, ok got the new transmission put in now it won't go into ANY gear !! I am still debating. I really don't want to get the technology package but I may have to in order to get fog lights. The dealer (about 90 miles away) with the car with the right color combo (Brick Red w/ Blonde leather interior) and exactly the right options is $500 under invoice and agreed to throw in the moon roof wind deflector. A base Altima 6MT weighs 3,112 according to Nissan's own website. 2002-2004 3049Lbs 2005 3075Lbs 2006 3090Lbs 2007 3055Lbs 2008 3112Lbs(!)(sedan)/3052(coupe) 60lbs in one year... You did not mention what engine you have, but if you have the I4, the intake is in two pieces. First, unbolt the upper manifold and Plenum (all one piece). Second, unbolt the lower intake manifold from the back of the engine. There is a bracket under the lower intake that has to be removed. I now have almost 20,000 miles on my Altima and I have been somewhat dissappointed with the gas milage, but I need to clarify that statement. I drive quite conservatively and I routinely get 10-15% better gas milage than the EPA estimate.
