2010 Nissan Altima Hybrid 4dr Sedan (2.5L 4cyl gas/electric hybrid CVT)

Review

Six years, 150K miles and I still love my car. I got rear-ended the other day. Looking at the damage, you'd think I'd be hurt, but I'm not. I'm hoping the insurance company doesn't total my car. You'd think I'd be hoping for it, but at 150K miles, my car showed no signs of letting up. Drives well. Safe. Economical. Good looking. Not a ton of trunk space in a hybrid, but I used the heck out of mine with no problems.

2010 Nissan Altima Hybrid 4dr Sedan (2.5L 4cyl gas/electric hybrid CVT)

Review

This was my first Nissan and hybrid. The car is a pleasure to drive. Has room for three grand children in the back seat and with the four door model can enter and exit easily. I am glad I did not buy an SUV instead. Getting 37 to 39 mpg ans saving every day.

Best Features

Roomy interior and plenty of power when needed.

Worst Features

Review

I wanted a hybrid and the Altima had the best combination of good looks and performance. With the incentives they were offering and the tax deduction they still qualify for it was too good to pass up. It has very nice exterior styling and the interior looks more expensive then it is, especially in the charcoal leather. The fuel economy is very good as long as you don't try to test the strong acceleration at every chance. It really drives and handles very well. Usually the transition to/from the ICE is smooth but sometimes there is some vibration. I do wish it would stay in EV mode more easily. You really need a light touch to keep it there.

Best Features

EV Mode!, smart key, seat heat, auto dimming mirror with compass, upgraded radio with ipod integration, big glove compartment, great looks.

Worst Features

Stronger electric engine for EV mode at 45mph+ - how about highway coasting on EV. Economy driving mode to stay in EV mode with harder pedal press. Better and more concurrent display info without fully loading - like digital mpg reading, history, and energy flow. Window control on ACC setting

2010 Nissan Altima Hybrid 4dr Sedan (2.5L 4cyl gas/electric hybrid CVT)

Review

Bought this car a in July. Averaging about 33 mpg mixed city and highway. Plenty of power, used to have '03 with 4 cylinder and didn't move, complete opposite. Electric to gas transition is barely noticeable. Replaced '06 Acura TL (17 mpg with same driving) and have not regretted it yet.

Best Features

Rear View Camera, Bose, Power, Comfort, Gas Mileage

Worst Features

HID Headlights, Fog Lights, Driver Seat Memory, Power Passenger Seat

Review

Passenger seat with the premium package has only two manual positions. Forward and reclining back. The seat cannot be elevated. It is very low, slightly sloping forward which makes longer rides uncomfortable. It is also inconvenient for shorter people.

Best Features

The mileage and handling, especially in curves is impressive.

Worst Features

The electric or manual three position passenger seat, better quality floor carpet, the information window could be shaded for better visibility in a daylight.
