What's New for 2005

Enhancements for the 2005 Nissan 350Z include a standard tire-pressure monitor, heated outside mirrors and a driver-seat height adjuster for both front and rear portions of the bottom cushion. Clutch pedal effort has been reduced this year, and the five-speed automatic transmission now features downshift rev matching. The navigation system has a faster processor for improved route calculation times. A special 35th Anniversary edition includes 18-inch alloy wheels, Brembo brakes, front chin spoiler, rear spoiler, available two-tone leather seats and a choice of three exterior colors, including a new Ultra Yellow. A slight bump in horsepower is also part of the package.

Review

Fast, fun - get lots of compliments all the time everywhere I go. Went to lease blue, came home with black. Love the dash, foot pedals and overall appearance of the car. Mileage is OK, depends on how you drive it (lead foot = lower mileage). Normal driving nets better mileage, but it's hard to stay under the speed limit. Would have leased a new one, but the dealers' aren't dealing, so I'm going to keep mine with low mileage, 3,000 mile oil changes and hand washed since I brought her home. She's a keeper.

Favorite Features

Exterior design, dash layout and interior doors, handles.

Suggested Improvements

Trunk pop-up sometimes gets caught; could be the weather here. Not sure. My tire pressure sensor was too sensitive; going off several times a year. I put nitrogen in the tires now and that seems to have cleared up the problem.

Just traded my '04 FX45 for my first Z, and love my outcome! Couldn't have made a better decision. The exterior rocks and the comments and wow factor from others is much more than the FX. The exhaust amazing. The stock stereo/speakers are a lot to get used to after having a Bose system. Probably have to replace as it looks and sounds low quality. The red exterior rocks. I'm loving my Zed!!!

Exterior styling, exhaust sound, fast reactive tiptronic, mileage, and sticker on inner trunk showing how to fit 2 sets of golf clubs!! I prefer material to leather seats and the material is great quality.

Stock stereo/speakers are horrible. Plastic interior features seem fragile. Worst possible placement for dual cupholders.

2005 Nissan 350Z Touring 2dr Hatchback (3.5L 6cyl 6M)

I have loved the Z for years, and when the new body style came out I had to have one. It is absolutely amazing!!! I constantly get comments on the looks of the car, and every time I drive it, it is such an amazing experience!! Wish everyone could experience such a sports car. You look at the car and just say to yourself "HELLO LOVER"!!!

2005 Nissan 350Z Enthusiast 2dr Roadster (3.5L 6cyl 6M)

Love the Z. It load, firm, fast, and fun. I commute in mine every day 60 mile each way. I get an average of 28 mpg, I have seen 31 mpg on the freeway and 19 around town. I have owned Mazda and Mercedes roadsters and this is by far the best. Others have complained of blind spots. I have none, you just have to set the mirrors correctly. I will buy again.

Seats, dependable, and looks

A better stock radio system. If you don't get the Bose the stock Radio is bad, bad, bad. Better tires the stock tire will only go about 20k.

2005 Nissan 350Z Grand Touring 2dr Roadster (3.5L 6cyl 6M)

I bought my Nissan 350Z Roadster Convertible just a few months ago and I love the exterior. If they would leave the exterior alone and focus on making a high quality/high tech interior, this car would be above and beyound for what you get. The 280hp engine is awesome. I get from 0-60 so quickly that I blow everyone else around me away and leave them fading into the background. The only con I have with this car is the quality of some of the interior materials. The leather is crap. The interior design overall is boring. I hope when Nissan comes out with its next version, they spruce up the interior and do minor modifications to the exterior. Nissan keep up the good work!

I love the engine/power. Exterior is sleek and beautiful.

Interior is blaw and not of highest quality.
