Actually there is a CLASS ACTION SUIT against Nissan for 350Z tire feathering, tire roar, suspension and alignment defects for 2003, 2004, and 2005. They say that they fixed it in 2006, but i am here to tell diff!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So, after a month and a half of dealing and trying to trouble shoot this odd clutch issue, I took my 2005 350z Touring model into the dealership today after getting the clutch to stick halfway down. It's been like this for a month... after about 15-20 minutes of driving, the clutch engagement drops halfway to the floor, engagement point changes and the gears crunch as I shift up and down. ... Nissan of Santa Barbara called me after I test drove a brand new 2009 370z Enthusiast. Loved the car but out of my price range. Soo long story short... they had a silver 2005 Touring Manual 6 (so it has VDC, VLSD, leather and heated seats, nice rear view mirror, metal kick plates, etc) priced at 19,995.00 with 34,700k miles on it. I was going to look at a similar one ... Read More
Well, I got a call from the Nissan Consumer Affairs Specialist, and she claims the paperwork required us to take the Z into a body shop to fix the camber?? There was no discussion of that. And another question would be WHY would I have to take the car to a body shop? I understand (correct me if I'm wrong) that the camber cannot be adjusted on the 2005 350Z. Smells ... Read More
I bought a new 2005 350z that has required me to purchase new tires (and alignment) every year, due to the Feathering. My tires become bald, I lose tire pressure constantly. . .in other words it's been a pain in the butt car. The dealership won't do anything, Nissan refused to admit there was any engineering issues with 2005, said that the 2003-2004 years had the TSB fix, and the 2005 ... Read More

I am a 44 yr old nurse. As a female I feel the dealer is trying to get one over on me. I bought a 2005 Nissan 350z on 6/9/2009. On 7/10/2009 the clutch went. I have driven a stick since I was 16. The dealer is saying the car was driven "hard", "excesive tire wear" . This is is BS, I don't even know how to do a "burn out". ... Read More
There are 2 issues at work here. An initial design flaw and poor quality tires. From my understanding, Nissan initially set up the front wheels with an agressive camber (wheels slope out at the bottom) to provide extra-tight cornering. Unless you race your car, this is overkill. If you look up the Bridgestone Potenzia tires that are shipped with the car (look at tirerack.com) you will find that these tires have ... Read More
You may be happy to know that the reports I have read state that the 370Z will be lighter than the 350Z. It looks like the amount of weight lost by the 370Z over the 350Z is the equivalent of a deck chair blowing off the Queen Mary. Nissan doesn't get it. They must not have anybody left alive that worked on the 240Z.
Hey guys, So i found a 2005 35th anniversary nissan 350z for sale at a dealer. it's auto with 31k miles, and from the picture it looks pretty clean but has a few scratches. Anyways the price is listed as $19,990. Is there a chance i can haggle that price down to around $16000? First time car buyer and was wondering for some advice and tips to get the price i ... No shortage of spunk in your attitude, and that's a compliment. Unfortunately, I can't be quite as complimentary about the 350Z. I'm old enough to have lusted after the original 240Z back in the 1970's. IMO, Nissan's so-called "reincarnation" of that 240Z spirit produced a bit of a "wannabe" sports car that weighs 300-600+ lbs more than my 1995 5-passenger Maxima SE and uses the same basic engine as found in ... Hello all, I bought my 2006 350Z touring roadster in Nov 2005. I have been very happy with this car up until now. I purchased a 2005 350z for my wife and the tire problem is not resolved. I was totally unaware of it even thought I usually research vehicles as thoroughly as possible. We keep cars 10 years or more and take care of them. My wife is over 60 and drives on well-kept paved roads. At about 24K, I noticed front end noises that I thought might be brake rotor wear and ... I have a 2005 350Z and just replaced the OEM tires at 31,000 miles, the wear was fairly even especially considering you can't rotate them. Of course the rear tires were pretty much shot, thank you Nissan bulletproof rear end. Nissan had resolved the tire problem by the 05 model and they properly took care of customers by replacing tires and adjusting the alignment specs as well. Your comment about the ... Read More
Sounds like a pretty good price. Just check the values on edmunds, if it's anywhere close to the trade-in price on edmunds then it's a great price. Check the rear tires before you buy it, if they are completely bald that's a clear indication of a lot of hard launches...though by that mileage they will have a lot of wear under normal conditions.
Is this a good deal (from a Infiniti Dealership)? 2005 Nissan 350Z Roadster Touring w/ 13,293 miles for $25,897 - it's silverstone with black interior. What price I should offer?
I know the Nissan dealer in Richmond has 1 more 2005 left (as of 3 days ago). Don't know what trim level. All I know is that it is black. Since I was only interested in the roadster, I did not pay any real attention to the coupe. I do know that you can get a hell of a deal on the car (based oon what I did).
Hey, I recognize you from the 350 site! Glad you're enjoying the car. And definitely second the advice about buying a left-over 2005 if at all possible, if there still are any. I did the same thing in April and got a similar deal. You have to be in the right place at the right time for that. Very good financial move when it works right. For some reason I couldn't find this color on Nissan's website for the 2006 model year. Did they discontinue it? It seemed to cost extra for this color in the 2005 model year. Anbody have any idea why they got rid of it?
Interesting in that I see that Carmax has changed it's marketing method. They always listed the KBB value and then their "no haggle price" was a bit less. I see that they are not always listing the KBB value. I guess they have gotten so big that they can get way with just listing the price. Wow! I can't believe all these posts on here. I took my 2005 350z to Nissan last week. Had to have a new clutch at 12,000 easy driving miles. Of course, not covered under the warranty. Cars are very complex devices and will probably experience problems. We all live with that fact. However the manner in which these problems are corrected is the determining factor. There is a action suit in progress against Nissan because of the manner in which they addressed the suspension problems. How many other automakers have had class action lawsuits filed against them. Take a look at the NHTSA web site- No other ... Read More

Welcome, pscholes18! (as in Paul Scholes, he scores goals?) At this point, any offer you make for a 2004 should be under invoice. I was able to get $300 over invoice at Maxell Nissan in Round Rock (Austin) TX. They had a white 2005 Touring Roadster, w/ automatic transmission, which is what I was looking for. They beat all other dealer's price over the Internet. No hassle, no pressure!
I have a 2005 350 Z with 3000 miles. Love the style, power, handling and great sound at 4000+ RPM. Minor nitpick- I detect a " rattly" or chattering sound when I engage the clutch on starting up, particularly starting on a hill. Not every time, but every once in a while. Any one else notice this on the six speed?
My dealer reimbursed me for the second set of tires after I contacted the regional office. I discoverd Nissan extended all 2003 350Z front-wheel alignment warranties for 2 years from in-service date which includes tires, not the 2004s.
