one other note i was online and found a tech forum for nissan, the tech is saying the axle needs to be greased. this what the tech says the repair is for clicking noises in the rear. from what i seen, u need take off the rear axle use a special grease and replace a flange and the hardware to the flange and then put it all back together. I got to order my Z and got to start driving her since Oct of 2002, I have 130,000 miles on the speeddomter and thought I do have some small issues, like the cupholder next to the stero/cd player,(ug!!) and people parking too close and pinnging my doors, LOVE THE CAR AND THE DRIVING EXPERIENCE!! My 2003 (Performance Edition) has the same thing happening I believe. Around 11 to 15 MPH it starts (makes a 'boing' like sound) and keeps going until full stop. Dealer ship was no help but they did observer the same problem. Did you ever figure out a solution? Read More...

My anti-locks brakes are engaging on ever stop and it is very annoying. I took it to my dealership and they can't find anything wrong the brakes. The problem will appear for a month or two and then disappear. On all slow stops the anti-lock will engage Anyone have any suggestions - please help? Read More...

How did you go about getting Nissan to buy back the car through a lemon law? I have a 2003 350Z with 28K miles on it and I'd like them to buy it back due to the ongoing tire problem. I wouldn't mind it if they were a bit more cooperative in getting the problem fixed but I can't accept a time based warranty and not a mileage based warranty for a tire wear problem. I wouldn't ... Well it was my motor...they replaced it and I had to pay for it...$385 I think was the total...I have taken it back 2x since ! When you open the door the window is supposed to go down a few inches and then close automatically. Has anyone had service done yet for the Z recall due to the fuel filler hose that may crack and result in fuel leakage and could possibly cause a fire? I received a letter from Nissan HQ a few weeks ago, called my dealer (in NJ) and they don't have the parts yet? They are supposed to replace the fuel filler and vapor hoses. Interesting in that I see that Carmax has changed it's marketing method. They always listed the KBB value and then their "no haggle price" was a bit less. I see that they are not always listing the KBB value. I guess they have gotten so big that they can get way with just listing the price.
