2010 Mitsubishi Outlander - Edmunds Ratings

Performance The 3.0L V6 engine produces respectable acceleration, and the six-speed automatic transmission provides a manual mode that's easily controlled with sporty paddle shifters.
Driving Dynamics Accurate steering with decent overall feel. Quick transitional handling. But the stability control intrudes clumsily and sometimes overracts during sub-limit maneuvers.
Ride Comfort Smooth, flat ride with good impact control. But it can start to feel sharp on jointed concrete freeways.
Quietness While the engine spins 3,000 rpm at 70 mph, there is precious little intrusion into the cabin. A little better-than-average wind and road noise.
Ergonomics Controls are well laid-out and easy to use. However, the switch feeling could be improved.
Visibility Good visibility in the front, but some blockage from the rear pillars. A back-up camera is available.
Seat Access & Space Plenty of space in the front seats and good legroom in the rear. Average headroom and shoulder room in the rear.
Cargo & Storage Decent cargo area with the second row up and large luggage space with the second and third rows folded. The two-piece tailgate enhances loading options and increases versatility.
Build Quality Just better-than-average build quality. The doors feel too light, which doesn't give the impression of solidity.
