I've owned my Montero for almost 4 years and I still love it! I take it everywhere: in the snow, sand, mountains, and on long road trips (2,000 miles+). Never had a problem, with proper care it will last another 30 years. The strength of the Montero is better than anything I have seen. Almost impossible to damage.
I have all the options, and its great. The tinted windows, sun roof, third row seating, 4WD, and reliability are great. Also, the visibility and handling is good for a SUV like this. I get 17/18 MPG in town and up to 25MPG highway, not too shabby.
It is a little tall, but that just means more headroom.
