Bought my 95 Montero with 50,000 miles on it and knew from the start it was a good vehicle. I already had a 90 model (and still do). I drive the 90 to work each day save the 95 for the weekends. Over the past 10 years the only expense has been a timing belt and plugs. I now have 151,000 miles and runs great.
What I like most is the high ride and off road ability.
Burns a little oil and the gas mileage could be better, but it does weigh 4000 pounds so I guess that's not so bad. It's sad you can no longer buy a Monty state side.
