Review
Bought it rental used @ 27,000 miles. Affordable. Great stock sound system especially the speakers. Very reliable. Excellent design. Sporty look. Gas friendly. Smooth. Quiet. Easy to tune and customize. Light and great handling. Roomy. An excellent car overall - especially for those looking for all of the above without breaking too much wallet. I had to let this go when it got totalled at 110,000. :(

I've added some tuners to give it more kick, but would be nice if more power came in stock. Unfortunately they've replaced this with the Lancer sedan, but if they could bring this coupe back with more power (same as Lancer would be fine), I would definitely get another one.

Review
Purchased the car 3 years ago with 53,000 miles on it. I now have 110,000 miles on the odometer, the car has been trouble free and is very economical and reliable. Other than regular oil changes and scheduled maintenance it has not cost a cent!!

Economy... 33 mpg around town and 45 mpg on the highway.

With a 1.5 litre engine it's no road rocket!!

Review
The Mitsubishi Mirage is an awesome car. I wouldn't give it up for anything. I bought it with 34,000 miles on it and it now has 163,000 miles. It has been nothing but good for the past 5 years. I love this car.

In my opinion, the styling and handling are better than the Civic.

It needs a little bit more stock power from the base 1.5L engine, but is still a great engine,

I bought my 99 mitsubishi when it was about a year and something old in 2001. a few months after purchasing it , it gave me problems mostly with the brakes. It is crazy how many times I have gotten the brakes fix .

My 1999 Mitsubishi Mirage has been such a fun, little, reliable car! I'm bothered by folks who view Mitsubishi as bad cars....my first car was a Dodge Colt (engine imported by Mitsubishi) and that too, was a great car until I retired it at 130,000 to buy the Mirage. I've had the Mirage for five years and bought it knowing it was in an accident and was used as a rental (all of which are no-nos for resale)--but I have never had a problem. Absolutely nothing! I'm now looking at the new Endeavor for my next car. Mitsubishi has never let me down!

Review
I purchased this vehicle to replace a 96 Park Ave. That had 68K. I just wanted a little commuter car this vehicle fits the bill that for sure. While driving 80 - 85 MPH with A/C on I am getting 32 MPG. That is very acceptable.

Fuel Econ... Even though i am 6'2" i fit comfortably in the 2 door model very comfortably

Perhaps a littke more power. but it is a fair compromise to get mpg. and good comfort in a little car

Review
Bought with 8K on the odometer 5/99. Right now I have 142K miles with no visits to the shop other than scheduled maintenance with the exception of once for a warranty radio replacement. I bought the car as a commuter vehicle and it has done that job very well.
Favorite Features
Reliability! With regular oil changes and maintenance as suggested in the manual this car is the most reliable vehicle I have ever owned. I think one key is changing the timimg belt at the recommended intervals.
Suggested Improvements
This is basic, reliable transportation and it has done that job well. No improvements needed for that job.
