Acceleration commentsAs always, the Evo is tricky to launch. Maintaining 5,200 rpm while feeding in clutch (and more throttle) only works a couple times before the smell of rotten eggs begins. Still, this one did well with a decent 0-30 time. Shift action is light and quick.

Braking commentsZero ABS flutter or tire stumble as the car stops. Near zero pitch and no drama.

Handling commentsSkid pad: This is where AYC was obviously advantageous. The car's rear steps out slightly and stays there all the way around the circle. No need for steering input at all. Slalom: I felt the AYC was always interfering in the slalom. It assumes I'm initiating a corner and supplies oversteer -- never realizing I want to steer back the other way. Once I figured out that a neat line (tight to the cones) diminishes this tendency, a blast of air as the car cut past started tipping over cones. Very frustrating to never touch a cone yet tip 'em over.
