Mitsubishi Endeavor Maintenance and Repair

Terrible Idea--Kimberly

Kim..I bought a 2006 Mitsubishi Endeavor Limited Silver with black seats SUV AWD (3.8L 6cyl) today. I don't believe you have to use Premium. see my note of 8/20/07 above. I asked the service manager about your problem with the A/C and he said the stoppage is probable pine needles, leaves, etc which fall on the windshield and hood and work down to the coil and eventually ... Re: Endeavor Mechanical Problems [burgerflppr]

burger--I have just bought a 2006 Mitsubshi Endeavor Limited. I have bought over 50 cars in my life (in my 81st year)but have mostly stuck with American made cars. Did some research and found that Mitsubshi is the only foreign owned car company that makes its cars (some made in Japan)for the American market in Illinois. They have a labor contract with UAW. I bought ... Read More...

Re: Car and Driver report [deadmanlives]

I am sorry to have to disagree with the statement "... M-ASTC. Yet, this appears to be what you get with 2005 traction control". M-ASTC stands for "Mitsubishi Active Skid and Traction Control", this is the name Mitsubishi gives to what is known in the industry as "Electronic Stability Control". Other makers give their own names to ESC such as "Stabilitrack", ... Read More...

Re: Car and Driver report [deadmanlives]

Ok, so I made some phone calls and did some more internet searching. Here's what I found: The 2005 Limiteds have the same traction control and anti-skid system as the 2006's. Interestinly, the 2005 owner's manual apparently doesn't say anything about Mitsubishi Active Skid and Traction Control (M-ASTC). Yet, this appears to be what you get with 2005 traction ... Re: Car and Driver report [Mr_Shiftright]

Hi Shifty, I hope you did have a safe 4th. Let me bother you with one more question. I've spoken with a dealer (not a Mitsubishi dealer)who has a 2005 Endeavor Limited with less than 1000 miles. Since he is some distance from me, I haven't seen the vehicle. He says it has traction control, but he can't find anywhere in the 2005 manual about the Mitsubishi Active Skid ... Read More...

Re: Mitsubishi Endeavor Transmission Noise [jwiz1]

We've have experienced the same noise (accelerating from 40 to 60 mph) in our 2006 Endeavor LS AWD. My wife heard the noise from day one, but after two trips to the dealership, service persons there keep calling it "normal". Our dealership is Maywood Mitsubishi in New Jersey, maybe they need to talk to your dealership to get a clue. Information about your dealership ... Read More...

Re: Mitsubishi Endeavor [steve_]

I have a 2004 and was looking to get into at least a 2006. Sticker prices are around 33K and they are no longer offering incentives. I have scheduled maintenance, got a great owner loyalty, and a rebate. They are not giving anyone a reason to get into the larger vehicles. It's rather dumb. You'd think they'd have more incentives to get rid of them, especially today. ... Read More...
