I have bought a 2013 mini cooper works, it has now done 1,000 km when the car would not engage a gear. I have since been told by BMW Middle east that the clutch has burnt out & it is not covered by warranty. • Re: Getting Parts for your Mini Cooper [pboulio]

    Written by: Mr_Shiftright on Jun 14, 2013 8:36:29 AM

Shouldn't be a problem as Mini parts usually come through the BMW network and there is also a healthy aftermarket for this car. The only time I could foresee a parts hang-up is if some trim piece or interior upholstery part breaks on a brand-new 2013 model. Sometimes it takes an automaker a little while to catch up on spare parts manufacture while they are producing an entirely new model.

EDIT: Just noticed that MINI's lease program runs from the beginning of May 'til the beginning of July. The numbers would still be 57% and 0.00125? Thanks again.

Just got some residuals from a Philadelphia area Mini dealership for a Cooper Hardtop Auto with 15k miles. They quoted me 64%, 56%, and 41% for 36, 39, and 42 months for the 2012s. The 2013s were 58%, 50%, and 44% for 36, 39, and 42 months. Seems odd that the residuals for the 12s are generally higher. Maybe Mini has opted to inflate them instead of providing lease cash.
