Windows on 1995 Mercury Villager

I recently have had problems with the windows on my 1995 Mercury Villager not opening. The problem is intermittent and very unpredictable. It seems to be happening more frequently recently and I have taken it to a shop twice when it wasn't working but while it is there, the windows work. I took it to the shop today when the windows weren't working but they were too ... Read More...

Re: 1995 and1997 Villager Distributor replacement [efitzgerald]

I should be getting the new distributor next week. If this does solve the problem, I will post ... Read More...

Re: Intermitten Door Lock and Window Switch Problem [bucketdad]

They are downloadable for free. That' :) s what I did and it give the complete owners book including the fuse line-up. You may then have a better chance of getting a solution ... Read More...

1995 - Passenger Door WILL NOT OPEN at all

1995 Mercury Villager GS Passenger door had some of the key issues noted (had to turn twice to unlock with key) but worked for the last year. And door latched. Little did I know - I would never ... Read More...

Nissan Quest/Mercury Villager Starting & Stalling Issues

Power Loss AND Stalling

Ok, I've seen this message on here but no response as of yet that is conclusive. 1995 Mercury Villager LS. Van is great, bought it cheap due to Ford breaking the exhause manifold studs during the engine rebuild. Van now has 230k+ on it and everything is solid. Drilled them out, tapped, and everything is great. However, the problem I have is the van losing power and ... Read More...

Re: Gas Smell In Cold Weather on Start up 97 Quest [julie199]

I have a 1995 Mercury Villager with 126,000 and have had similar issue with the strong gas smell when the vehicle is first operated in cold temps. I will not yet commit to a full fix, but for the last week we have had no gas smell. I added a second clamp to the connection of the rubber fuel lines where it connects to the metal lines on the end of the fuel rails. I also had been ... Read More...
