Review
My '93 LTS was the first car I ever owned. For under five grand I got a heck of a deal. The car was in great condition, with a five-speed, power locks, windows, mirrors, sunroof, alloys, a spoiler and 90k miles. I drove the car for a month before the transmission scattered. A neighbor went through it and found it had next to no fluid in it which burned it up. Rebuilt trans installed, the car gave me 15,000 miles of flawless service, until I replaced it in October of 2002 with a '99 Olds Alero. I sold it the next year only to see it wrecked and destroyed 6 months later by the idiot kid. A shame, as it was in terrific shape and a blast to drive, especially on the mountain roads.
Favorite Features
The car handled like a brick. 90 degree turns were possible at over 30 mph with no tire screeching. The five- speed made it a blast to drive in hilly Virginia. For a $14,000 MSRP (when new), the Tracer LTS is a 1/2 second faster then the BMW 318 in the quarter mile!
Suggested Improvements
The car should have been sold with 16- inch wheels and performance tires. A factory CD player and fog lights should have been standard features.

Review
The biggest problem i've had over the 11 years i've had this car would be that at about 100,000, the engine just flat out broke. it started to stall and i had to buy a whole new engine. but besides that it has been pretty reliable. the transmission is little shabby though, it never seems to shift when it should. the wagon still seems to have taken all the punishment i've dealt it though. in general this car isn't too bad, it certainly takes alot of punishment.
Favorite Features
the best features would be the ones i have installed, cd player, massage/heated driver seat, and new speakers. although the large trunk always comes in handy

better transmission, more hp.

Review
Just bought it less than a year ago, and there have been no problems. My friend that I bought it from owned it much longer and it didn't give him any trouble either! It's definately fast and fun to drive, good compression even after 120K! GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!
Favorite Features
DOHC 1.8 L Engine lets me max out my RPMs at 7,000, fold down rear seats, moon roof and MPG are great!

Integrity is kinda rough, but what can you expect out of a small lightweight car.

A simple, quite reliable and very economical Vehicle. Able to haul a large amount of luggage or anything. Will run with any traffic on any highway, all day long.

Review
When i was 18, my dad gave me my first Mercury Tracer LTS. It was perviously my uncles and he was the only other owner in that cars history. The 1.8l engine was amazing. The cars body styling is amazing. The only problem with this car was that transmission wasnt up to the cars high standards. The tranny died and the cost was worth more than the car was. So i donated the car to a charity and purchased another Tracer LTS with only 58000 miles on it. I had a transmission flush and i am watching it with a hawk eye. If i had the chance or the money i would buy the remaining LTS's for myself. Needless to say i love these cars.
Favorite Features
My favorite features are the 1.8l engine, the body styling, and the exhaust system.
Suggested Improvements
If you decide to get an LTS you should immediatly get a tranny flush plus a tune up with a new filter. Doing this will hopefully insure the longevity of your transmission.

Review
I had good experience with this car until about two years or 22,000 mile ago. This is a very inexpensive car up to about 80,000 miles. Then you need to unload this car because many problems will arise. My major issue now is that the transmission began failing about a year ago (would not shift to overdrive). Now the problems are worst. I couldn't get $50 for this car now.
Favorite Features
The gas mileage has always been great and maintenance had been low until about a 1 1/2 ago.
Suggested Improvements
I would dispose of this car after 80,000 miles.

This is an exceptionally reliable car. I bought it new and have had to do minor repairs over the years (nothing over $500). I would highly recommend.

Review
I bought this car new and now after 10 years it has 90k. Car was in storage for 4 years and all I had to do was replace the battery. I have had no major problems with the car. I drive it a minimum of 50 miles a day. I had one minor one that the accelerator was sticking and Ford fixed it easily. This car is very reliable. I live in cold country and it has always been reliable. Fun to drive! I would definitely recommend this vehicle!

I like the extra pickup my model has and of course the moon roof!
Suggested Improvements
I do not like where the cup holders are and if you have a drink in them you must take out the car lighter cause it is in the way.

Review
I purchased the car new in 1992 and have had few troubles. It has 95,000 miles on it and just now has some transmission problem. The car hesitates when cold, the mechanic said the trans needs to be rebuilt or replaced. Up til now it has been reliable. And the car is fun to drive.

The 60/40 fold down seat to allow more trunk space.
