Ford Fusion/Mercury Milan Hybrid
Re: Blown-out of a Mercury dealership [acdii]
As I said, I originally wanted a Mercury Milan HB. Unfortunately, the dealerships that I encountered did not want to cooperate. As for 2010 Prius reliability, you are quite correct that the car was (almost) totally redesigned. However, after searching for as many reviews as I could find that included test drives, I could not find any substantial criticism of ... Read More...
Blown-out of a Mercury dealership
After dilligently looking for a Milan HB, and finding dis-interest on the part of the Balt-Washington corridor Ford-Lincoln-Mercury dealers in terms of supply and selling - we ended up buying a new 2010 Prius with more eguipment, better reliability, much better MPG, and lower price than the scarce Milan HB ($30 k plus). But, before that happened, we in desperation ... Read More...
Ford Fusion/Mercury Milan New Owner Reports
New 2009 Milan Owner
I just purchased a new 2009 Mercury Milan Premier I-4 two weeks ago and could not be more pleased. I had been in the market for a new car for the last year and had been checking out several makes and models (Taurus, Impala, Fusion, Malibu and Focus) when the Cash for Clunkers program started, I traded in my 1996 Ford T-Bird and made the decision to purchase a Fusion, ... Re: May-2009 Sales [yerth10]
I wonder if they will increase production of Hybrids? Interesting comment that I have to agree with: Consideration for our new products is increasing, said Ken Czubay, Ford vice president, Sales and Marketing. Even as the competitive environment intensifies, Fords relentless pursuit of quality, fuel efficiency, smart technology and appealing designs ... Read More...
Re: enough talk [WyattNichols]
The early bird may get the worm, but early buyers of either the new 2010 Ford Fusion or Mercury Milan Hybrids will get a good deal more -- $3,400 more to be exact -- in the form of a federal income tax credit. These new and super-efficient sedans qualify for the largest bit of tax relief ever offered on any hybrids purchased or put into service after December 31, 2005. ... Read More...
Why the Fusion Hybrid is not the Final Word
Don't necessarily drink the koolaid that you need all those expensive batteries and electric motors to get 40 MPG: "If it were our money, the Fusion/Milan we want would be powered by the combination of a 1.6L EcoBoost four with dual-clutch transmission and start/stop that we saw in the Lincoln Concept C at this year's Detroit Auto Show. That powertrain would ... Read More...
Re: DC Auto Show [coldcranker]
Umm...the 2010 Fusion is already quiet, perhaps more so than the 2009 MKZ. The 2010 Milan shares alll the upgrades, and provides a slightly more stylish interior, and a slightly different exterior. I prefer the Milan styling. Lots of people prefer the Fusion. Ford has no business putting a lot of differentiation here, when it is still doubtful whether the whole ... Read More...
New Fusion chassis in 2012
Ford executives told Automotive News yesterday at the 2009 North American International Auto Show that the next generation Ford Fusion will share a platform with the current European Ford Mondeo. "We're transitioning to a Fusion-Mondeo convergence," Derrick Kuzak, Ford's vice president of global product development said at the show. He confirmed that ... Read More...
Re: Price to expect for new 09 Milan? [drmurdoc]
I just purchased a 2009 Fusion SEL V6 with the rear spoiler, moon & Tune package, rear sensing, and all weather floor mats. MSRP was $26,715 paid $24,447. Invoice was $24,443. There are various options as far as rebates. You can get $3500 cash back if you use Ford Credit, $2500 cash back and the market rate, or $1000 back and 0%. Not sure if the 0% was for a 36 month loan ... Read More...
2009 headrests
I recently purchased a 2009 Mercury Milan, and I find the headrests really uncomfortable. Does anyone know if I can replace them with some from a different vehicle that will fit properly. I tried turning them around, but that doesn't work either. I love the car, but am seriously thinking of trading my new car in because it is so uncomfortable. Read More...
