EDITORS' RATINGS OVERALL SCORE:

Overall

RATING

The high-quality we've come to expect from Mercedes-Benz is evident in all aspects of the SL. We expected more of a sports car demeanor than the SL could deliver, however.

DETAILED EDITORS' RATINGS

Dynamics

RATING

This is not a sports car, despite the "SL" designation

Comfort

RATING

Seats are very comfortable and highly adjustable, as is steering wheel location. Very quiet at highway speeds (with top up) and easy to get in and out. Like it!

Function

RATING

Like the gauge cluster and overall placement of things, but the cruise control and turn signal stalks are too close together and easily confused. Plus too many buttons as part of the COMAND system.

Design/Build Quality

RATING

Really like the look of these, both inside and out. Good interior materials (like the rich suede headliner and attractive dash/door panels). The car seems very well constructed.

DETAILED PROFILE:

Image Enhancer Sleek good looks are sure to attract attention.
