Yes Tag the CLS is a fancy, very fancy E-Class right down to the lugnuts. Such a stunning job they did in converting it huh? The interior uses the same hardpoints as the E, but the materials and trim are different. The big ole plank of wood really sets it off. The small MB SUV will be the GLK, not the MLK. LS has beaten european helms in every measure except driving dynamics and heritage. In fact in heritage, only mercedes has some kind of distinct superiority. A8 was introduced in 1994 (1997 in North America) and 7-series came about in 1978. Read More...

Your comment "Your argument is still a campaign to get the most money possible, as YOU see it. That is no longer value" would have been correct if I had said "LS 460 should be priced 82K and 460L should be 86K to match S550" But thats not what I said. Hi All, I think Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. The person who spoke of the Golden Age is the Head Mechanic at my Lexus dealer. Other mechanics have made the same comment. You can argue that there is nicer leather and what not in the 1995+ models and I'll have to agree with you. Mind you the 1995 was very similar to the 1994 mechanically. MB had to drop the price of their cars in 1999 because of price pressure, most notably from Lexus. That was before the quality took a big plunge and before the perception of the quality problems became real. This isn't totally correct. Well guys I didn't say that the 300E was "inspiring" or that it was better than Audi's styling at the time. I said that it was the car that got me interested in the Mercedes-Benz brand. please read my posts more carefully...I said just because you, and by you I mean the soldiers of the Toyota army who post here, can spend more on a car than the LS costs, but choose not to, doesn't mean everyone else in this market has the same option.
