30000 miles per year
Vehicle
1994 Mercedes-Benz S-Class 2 Dr S600 Coupe
Review
even though it's over eight years old the car still has lots of "presence" to it. However, with the mileage I put on it costs about 6 to 8k per year to maintain. when a part goes, mercedes eats you alive on repairs. for the extra few thousand a year, I'm considering a new CL.
Favorite Features
adjustable air sacks in the seat back to make the the ride harder or softer on your back. Those 12 cylinders make this a very fast big car, high speeds feel like nothing
Suggested Improvements
less expensive maintanince costs

Vehicle
1994 Mercedes-Benz S-Class 4 Dr S420 Sedan
Review
There is so much class and style packed into this vehicle it should weigh more. Can't get over how comfortable, quiet and quick this sedan is. It is grace on wheels. My only regret...I waited so long to get one.
Favorite Features
Trunk latch too cool! Driver controls arranged well.

Best Money can buy
Vehicle
1994 Mercedes-Benz S-Class 4 Dr S420 Sedan
Review
The S Class has consistantly been named "The best car money can buy, for any amount of money in any class..." Year after year since the 1950's. Mine has 134,000 miles and drives like brand new. Nothing breaks. The V-8's never leak oil and are known to regularly go 500K or more on the same motor. Trans go about 250K or more. There is a reason these are the Elite of the Elite.
Favorite Features
Do-Dads and gadgets. They also last forever! (the gadgets...) Impeccable reliability, safety and image. Top notch build quality. No competition whatsoever. Stereo is mind blowing. A/C freezes you in the summer, comfort and performance are untouchable.
Suggested Improvements
NONE.

They're good but watch out
Vehicle
1994 Mercedes-Benz S-Class 4 Dr S350D Turbodsl Sedan
Review
This is for the S350 Turbodiesel version of the S Class. This is a very comfortable vehicle. The power seats are very easy to adjust anyway. Acceleration is pretty poor with the diesel model. Rear leg room in this short wheelbase version is okay but not good. Features abound this car feels modern even though it's nearly 9 years old. However many of these turbo diesel models are known to have their engines fail before 60000 miles which is what happened to mine. Great mpg though.
Favorite Features
The heated leather seats, the radio, feature that keeps car interior warm when it's off, and device that closes door automatically if it's not closed all the way.
Suggested Improvements
The reliablity of this engine needs to be improved vastly. The failure rate is just too high. Rear leg room could be a little bit bigger. Also the radio is very hard to upgrade.
