Great car!
Vehicle
2007 Mercedes-Benz R-Class R350 4dr Wagon AWD (3.5L 6cyl 7A)
Review
We bought our R-class in May of 07 and love it! It is excellent in the snow and there is a lot of room in for all of our stuff! We have little boy so with little ones comes carseats, strollers and bags..the R-class accomodates all of these very well. The only thing I wish it would have had is a middle console in the second row, which is now available on the 08 model. Other than that we love the car. A great buy and reasonably priced for a Mercedes.
Favorite Features
The panorama sunroof gets attention to everyone who rides in the car and also the smooth ride the R350 gives is a highlight.

Emphasis on Ride/Comfort not Reliability
Vehicle
2007 Mercedes-Benz R-Class R350 4dr Wagon AWD (3.5L 6cyl 7A)
Review
The R350 was a very good choice at the time of purchase because it was the first true cross-over that focused on room & comfort. The interior design is ingeniously ergonomic. The performance is quaite acceptable for a station- wagon type vehicle. Much to my surprise, there were quite a few intermittent reliability issues (i.e.; the rear hatch would drain the battery in wet conditions. MB did not figure this out until the hatch completely failed.
Favorite Features
Drives well in almost all weather conditions. Very comfortable for all passengers on long trips.
Suggested Improvements
To meet the MB expectation, I think better thought should have gone into how the systems interact. A faulty hatch or feature should not result in a dead battery that leaves you stuck.

Vehicle
2007 Mercedes-Benz R-Class R350 4dr Wagon AWD (3.5L 6cyl 7A)
Review
Great car, fun to drive, Really big and somewhat difficult to park. Exceptionally good performance and gas mileage for a 6 cyl. Quality everywhere with no problems in first 6 months although at the 30 day checkup the service department was a poor. I won't be back to the selling dealer. Skip the parktronic and rear camera. They are only good from about 3 feet.
Favorite Features
Quality, drive and handling, front end design, mileage, power, 7 speed trans. I love the xenon headlights
Suggested Improvements
Nav is poor design, no touch screen, difficult to learn. Sunfoor needs to be reflective - Car gets Very Hot inside when parked. If my Cellphone works with a $30 bluetooth headphone, why can't it work with the MB voice command package? Seats are too firm. Rear camera looks at ground, not behind you.

Not bad - could be better
Vehicle
2007 Mercedes-Benz R-Class R500 4dr Wagon AWD (5.0L 8cyl 7A)
Review
I have 4 small children and I needed a car that would seat all of us. I must admit I wasn't thrilled with the looks of the car and considered it only because it would hold everyone in relative comfort and because the 2008s were on the way and the dealerships had boatloads to get rid of in late July. Having come from a Volvo V70R, I had to have the V8 and not the V6. While the R500 is a great choice for someone with 4 kids, it is nowhere near as responsive or fun to drive as the Volvo. To be fair, the V70R is the Sport version and the R500 has never pretended to be remotely sporty - unless you want to lay down 80 large for the AMG version. After all, its a glorified minivan/station wagon.
Favorite Features
I like the integrated radio/phone system.
Suggested Improvements
Include Bluetooth module instead of selling it as $400 addon aftermaket option. Move cruisecontrol farther from turn signal. Fix defective rear hatch issue. All and all the vehicle is fine. I expected more from MB coming from a Volvo. MB expects you to pay for many items that should be standard

I Wish I Could Reverse Time
Vehicle
2007 Mercedes-Benz R-Class R350 4dr Wagon AWD (3.5L 6cyl 7A)
Review
I bought this car thinking it would be a huge hit and I would be one of the first to have one. It seems like I am the only to have one. Personally, I think it looks great. I luckily avoided black because it looks like a hearse is that color. I got the 350 because the 500 was that much more money. This car has extreme steering vibration at high speeds. This vibration also comes with a deep noise that does not sound too good. Yacht length rear doors make nearly imposible to avoid denting a car in a parking lot. Head-lamps keep flashing, door handle does not work at times and reverse lights sometimes fail to work.
Favorite Features
Functionality, looks, fit and finish, sunroof, bluetooth, navigation, rear dvd player
Suggested Improvements
Make a smaller model, get a bigger enigne (sluggish at times), redo the center console (looks like a Chevrolet Tahoe, I bought a Mercedes, not a Chevy!), redo the leather seats (Extremely firm and lack of positions),

Not your mother's minivan!
Vehicle
2007 Mercedes-Benz R-Class R350 4dr Wagon AWD (3.5L 6cyl 7A)
Review
We've been driving this beauty around for about a month and couldn't be happier. The R350 is a pleasure to look at, a pleasure to sit in and just plain fun. The kids love it, I love it and it's just surpassed my every expectation...which were high. I come from a long line of MB owners and have come to expect quality and performance, I got them both here. It's not just pretty to look at, it does it's fair share of hauling and stopping and starting in style. I compared it to the Volvo XC90 and just couldn't handle the 'Jeep like' feel of the Volvo. This feels like a luxury car that can also handle lots of people. We love it.
Favorite Features
Comfortable seating and entering/exiting for everyone. Great A/C and sound. Subtle seat belt reminder (I love this!). Good stowing capacity with seats down. Gorgeous looks. Better than expected gas mileage. Awesome moon roof. Glad to not have sliding doors. Love the auto trunk release.
Suggested Improvements
Put the cruise control level farther away from the turn switch! More room in the trunk when the six seats are in place. Nicer looking cargo cover. Touch screen. Standard bluetooth and ipod kit.

R350 2007
Vehicle
2007 Mercedes-Benz R-Class R350 4dr Wagon AWD (3.5L 6cyl 7A)
Review
The automobile is a fine ride overall. The BlueTooth ranks with BMW's. It works great, not like Acura's that frequently disconnected mid-sentence. Sleek look and well designed cabin.
Favorite Features
Cabin controls are very nicely set up. BlueTooth works well.
Suggested Improvements
1.Sluggish out of the hole. Don't try to run the qtr mile in this car. 2. Mercedes aftermarket Entertainment system does not have external speaker capabilities, or front cabin controls. My 2 year old has to work it himself from the car seat. 3.Rear Hatch height is tight. Needs a few more inches.

Almost 1 year old and still in love!
Vehicle
2007 Mercedes-Benz R-Class R500 4dr Wagon AWD (5.0L 8cyl 7A)
Review
I am one of those crazies who trades every year. This vehicle may finally be the one that passes the year mark for me. Perfect ride, perfect power. Still one of the freshest looks out there in the sea of bland auto designs. No, I still haven't gotten use to the minivan stigma, but boy once they ride in it, the critics convert quickly. Interesting that other makers are rushing this look to market. Can't wait to see what MB does at mid-cycle to freshen the front end.
Favorite Features
Panoramic roof, satellite HK radio, ride quality, powerful V8, did I mention ride quality!
Suggested Improvements
Better more modern nav system, more standard features that even Nissans have (e.g., xenons, 6CD in dash, Parktronic). 2008 improves frontend slightly, but need mid-cycle freshening to look like 2004 concept vehicle to spice it up a bit!

Love the Diesel
Vehicle
2007 Mercedes-Benz R-Class R320 CDI 4dr Wagon AWD (3.0L 6cyl Turbodiesel 7A)
Review
Wouldn't have gotten it except for the diesel - great mileage, quiet and plenty of torque for running around town or passing on the highway. Just took three teenagers to an amusement park 2 hours away and car was a pleasure to drive and everyone had gobs of room.
Favorite Features
Comand system takes getting used to but actually works pretty well. Seats are outstandingly comfortable and car (Barolo Red) gets lots of looks
Suggested Improvements
Bluetooth -- even if you paid for it -- is limited to just a few phones so that it integrates with Comand. MB's a little over-protective here (kind of like Blackberry and their lack of 3rd party software). Other issues are just nit-picking in my mind.

Smooth Ride
Vehicle
2007 Mercedes-Benz R-Class R350 4dr Wagon AWD (3.5L 6cyl 7A)
Review
Tough trading in our CLK320...but the R350 did not disappoint us. The smoothness of this mercedes sold us on a test drive. Interior is beautiful to look at and the seats are total comfort. The cabin is spacious and the third row really does fit adults comfortably including getting in and out. The exterior is unique, with that mercedes flare, yet understated overall.
Favorite Features
Panaranic roof lets in the natural light and/or plenty of air. Love the interior design. I like the comand center with DVD navigation, audio, satelite etc. Though not touch screen, I don't see it as necessary. The interface is easy to understand. Like that you don't see many on the road.
Suggested Improvements
Have to admit its slightly underpowered with the V6 off the start. Plenty of power on the highway. But we're happy with the gas mileage of the V6...and its worth the trade-off. Would like second row chairs to recline all the back...like the front chairs.
