Mercedes-Benz R-Class Suspension Issues

Re: Mercedes-Benz R-Class Suspension Issues [pf_flyer]

My wife drives a 2006 R500 and I have noticed that it "spits" and "hisses" from the right front corner- some sort of air suspension relief valve or something. I was told by a technician at my local dealer that this is normal and I have a tough time believing this. anyone have any experience with this? Read More...

Re: 2007 R-Class Deals? [queencreek]

I think your numbers might be a bit optimistic. Back in October, 2006, Mercedes was offering $10,000 marketing incentives, and the dealers were willing to go about $16,000 under MSRP, not invoice. Of course, the vehicles are still not moving (witness the demise of the R500), and you might succeed. Please post your findings when you are finished negotiating. ... Read More...

Mercedes-Benz R-Class Lease Questions

lease-end negoations?

First let me say thank you to all of the hosts and readers/contributors - this forum/board is a great source of information for so many things automotive!! Now my Question - We leased a 2006 Mercedes R500 at the end of the 2006 model year when factory and dealer incentives were almost too good to be true and R sales were in the toilet. We drove off with an R sporting a ... Read More...

Re: Help for a new lesee please [michigan1]

I have a 2006 R500 that I internet shopped in the L.A. area. I got a local San Diego dealer to match. I would try that first. Having said that, I have a 2005 Jaguar X-type that I bought from Jaguar of South Bay (Torrance, CA, about 100 miles from home), and I have only had the vehicle serviced locally at the only San Diego Jaguar Dealer. They have been absolutely courteous ... Read More...

Re: R350 Christmas Lease Special-A good deal? [joecicak]

There were similar Mercedes incentive lease specials on 2006 R350's this past summer and fall, and virtually every dealer was beating those deals significantly (roughly $100/month less than the Mercedes national advertised rate at the time). What discount from MSRP is the current Christmas lease special based upon? Others are reporting $4000 to $6000 off ... Read More...

2006 vs 2007 R Class

I see according to Edmunds that Mercedes is offering ten grand cash to dealers on the 2006 R Class, as well as 4.9 financing for as much as 66 months. Is there any difference between the 2006 and 2007 models? Any major mechanical mods or improvments? Any reason to go for a 2007 instead of the 2006? Read More...

Mercedes-Benz R-Class Lease Questions

Re: 2007 R500 advice needed [rider88]

It looks like you are getting about $5800 off MSRP. At this point in the model run, I think that is about as good as you are going to find. Apparently, MB has a 5.5% "Dealer Holdback" on these vehicles, giving the dealers only about another $3600 to play with beyond invoice. If you are not in a big hurry, you might want to wait for Mercedes Winter Sales Event which I think ... Read More...
