Should I buy a 2005 or 2006 M Class?

I've owned the 2003 ML350 (same as 2005) and currently have the 2007 ML350. 1. 2003 is a body on frame, very truck-like, better for towing and off-roading. 2007 is unibody/car-based so much better handling, quieter ride, stiffer chassis, and more car-like drive. 2. Mercedes ml320 2002. My SUV will not start.

The ignition will start and turn over but the car dies right away. I am very low on gas. I thought this was the problem and put an additional 2 gallons in but the problem persists. The fuel pump was replaced in 2006. I am wondering if the fuel filter is clogged or I have a fuel pump problem.
