Nothing but fun

2009 Mercedes-Benz CLK-Class CLK350 2dr Coupe (3.5L 6cyl 7A)
Review
Previous cars: Audi's A4/6, Porsche Boxster S. I purchased a "Grand Edition" CLK 350 ,only 400 coupes imported. I wont see one on every corner. Grand comes with a host of sport items; suspension, 18 AMG wheels, Contisports 35/45, aero bodywork. It is set up more towards a sport tourer. I really liked the firm ride. not harsh though. It is much more of a drivers car than the audi's and the interiors are very close in design and build quality. I have to say what really sold me were the looks. This is the last year for the CLK and quite frankly I do not like the new C/E classes. The interior is very well appointed. The grand has the chocolate with cream stitching.B MB logo on the brakes!
Favorite Features
The V6 is very smooth and produces ample power. Paired with the 7 Speed transmission with comfort/sport it is a lot of fun to drive. Not as tossable as a Porsche but a lot more comfortable to drive. The seats are perfectly bolstered the leather is wonderfully done. HK-7 stereo beats M. Levinso
Suggested Improvements
No B-Pillar so it tends flex a little. Most convertibles do (livable). The brakes are a bit touchy hard to modulate. Tach needs to be be bigger. Upshifts in 1&2 are a little slow. Not quite confident of high speeds. Needs Renntech chip ups 290hp and removes speed limiter. Personal Best is 170mph

2009 Mercedes-Benz CLK-Class CLK350 2dr Convertible (3.5L 6cyl 7A)
Review
Our last Mercedes was a 1996 C280 which we drove for 13 years, which was replaced by an Acura TSX. After seeing this beauty at the M-B dealer next door to Acura, three days later we traded in our '06 BMW 330ci convertible. After 6 months, we are very happy with the car overall, although in times where so much economic news is bad, you definitely feel the expense of owning a Mercedes. So far, three trips to the repair garage for minor glitches. First service appt. is $238 vs. $59 paid for our first Acura service. This car gets a ton of attention and compliments.
Favorite Features
Design, smooth drive feel, amazing automatic convertible roof, harmon kardon stereo, solid as a vault
Suggested Improvements
Would be nice to have an aux usb port for mp3 player, front and rear tires should be the same size so they could be rotated to get more tire mileage

Review
My wife and I recently purchased this car after looking at BMW, Lexus and Audi. This is our first Mercedes (having owned the previously listed three). Frankly, I was a little apprehensive given Mercedes' quality control issues in the 1990's. After driving the car for over one month now, I am completely satisfied with every aspect of the CLK 350. The car is beautiful, is comfortable to drive and the fit and finish is outstanding. The back seat is surprisingly roomy for a two door. I owned the BMW 328i and I can tell you that this car handles and rides much better (I have the P90 Appearance Pkg. with the Sport Suspension).
Favorite Features
Power-telescoping steering wheel, Bluetooth, 10 way power adjusting seats, Fold down rear seats, Exterior styling, Handling.
Suggested Improvements
The Continental tires are a little noisy. There are better tires around. I-pod integration could be better. I can't get mine to play properly.

Going to Miss CLK styling
Vehicle
2009 Mercedes-Benz CLK-Class CLK550 2dr Coupe (5.5L 8cyl 7A)
Review
This is my third Mercedes-Benz CLK, nothing but fun to drive much better than any of my BMW's. Easy of convertible top functions, remote control, good sound system, great on the highway miles per gallon for Florida, very easy with maintenance services schedules and looking for a new 2010 when lease expires. Much better beverage holders now and the bluetooth phone function is great. !
Favorite Features
Sound system, hands free phone system, easy of putting top up and down from the out side, good security system when car is locked and the top is down.
Suggested Improvements
Ok with me this is my third MB can't wait for the 2010's to arrive. May go with a E350 this time.

Review
A very well designed and quality built vehicle. I have had many cars, Honda's, Nissan's, Lexus, Acura, Infiniti's, and even an '02 Benz (honestly, we did not have a good experience, I was a little tentative to try again), this one thus far is proving to be number 1. The 5.5L V8 power in a vehicle it's size is a lot of fun, the growl from the engine is impressive, you almost can't help but lead foot the gas pedal, because it is so smooth, very easy to drive. The weight and power combination of the vehicle is a true testament to Mercedes Benz engineering.
Favorite Features
Excellent driving and smooth acceleration. 5.5L V8 power. no pillars between windows, gives an open air feel.
Suggested Improvements
Front seats could use bolstering on sides to give sport seat feel.

Last of the Hand-Built Mercedes Cabrios
Vehicle
2009 Mercedes-Benz CLK-Class CLK550 2dr Convertible (5.5L 8cyl 7A)
Review
The 2009 CLK 550A, (Cabriolet), is among the finest sports cars/crusers of its type. The 6 year run has truly perfected the designs performance and comfort to an unparalleled level in its class. Crafted largely with non- robotics,(i.e.,by hand), the CLK 550A, (Cabriolet),is a driving enthusiasts pleasure to drive and a passenger's pleasure to sit in, as it renders a cruiser like ride, even at speed. Though not spacious, even the rear seats are comfortable and very usable for two average size adults. Due to its driving characteristics and classic, non-faddish looks, the CLK 550A will be missed when replaced late in 2010 by the redesigned E class Cabrio. Newer design is not always better design.
Favorite Features
The new engine is simply the original AMG only 30 HP more powerful.
Suggested Improvements
None.

Review
A very well designed vehicle. The quality of workmanship is outstanding and there is considerably more room inside than in the BMW 3 Series.A very luxurious ride and the car handles extremely well.7 speed automatic is excellent. This car is a very good value.
Favorite Features
Burl wood telescoping steering wheel.
Suggested Improvements
New E Class coupe should satisfy those who feel that the styling is getting a bit stale.

Great car and fun to drive
Vehicle
2009 Mercedes-Benz CLK-Class CLK350 2dr Convertible (3.5L 6cyl 7A)
Review
I traded up from the SLK 280 for the CLK 350. Does not have the same handling as its baby brother, but the advantages far outweigh this fact. Very comfortable interior and leather seats are very comfortable. The model I have does not have park assist, but I would recommend this option. Looking out the back window it is tough to determine where the car ends. I have the older navigation system which is not easy to use, but the newer models I believe now come with the upgraded voice system. Quiet and very smooth ride. Plenty of acceleration when you need it. I am averaging about 19 mpg combined city and highway, about what Mercedes advertises. HK sound system is great. Nice instrument panel.
Favorite Features
So quiet for a convertible. Perfect combination of comfort, ride, sport feel, and fun.
Suggested Improvements
Dump the old navigation system. Make park assist a standard feature.
