550 Cabriolet review
Vehicle
2007 Mercedes-Benz CLK-Class CLK550 2dr Convertible (5.5L 8cyl 7A)
Review
This car is beautifully styled and lots of pep. The older models had a blind spot on the rear passenger side. There is great visibility with this model.
Favorite Features
The automatic and effortless convertible top makes it easy to open and close.
Suggested Improvements
Could have a holding area for the ipod.

Incredible
Vehicle
2007 Mercedes-Benz CLK-Class CLK63 AMG 2dr Convertible (6.2L 8cyl 7A)
Review
We have owned everything from Porches, BMWs, Mercedes, and Corvettes and this is by far the best car. The combination of power and luxury is unbeatable. The looks of this car are stunning with the AMG package. Not to mention a hand-built engine that is to die for. The price for this car is a little on the high side for the market but in comparison to the M6, it is an overall better car. Highly recommend for any high performance car enthusiast, it will be a nice treat.
Favorite Features
Luxuriousness as well as the feeling of cruising comfortably while at high speed. Power.
Suggested Improvements
The price gets bumped up with all the options when for the price it is should be coming standard. Gas mileage is not that great but is to be expected due to the performance of the vehicle.

Kudos to Mercedes CLK class
Vehicle
2007 Mercedes-Benz CLK-Class CLK350 2dr Convertible (3.5L 6cyl 7A)
Review
My fifth Mercedes. This is the best. I have had more compliments on this car than any of the previous 50 or more that I have owned. It is the most confortable car to drive that I ever owned. The only complant that I have is the lack of Blue Tooth phone capabilities. The cost of adding the Mercedes equipment is rediculous. I will wait for the appropriately priced after market to become available.
Favorite Features
Comfort while driving.
Suggested Improvements
Include factory Bluetooth equipment

Good by 996/997
Vehicle
2007 Mercedes-Benz CLK-Class CLK550 2dr Convertible (5.5L 8cyl 7A)
Review
I love this car. Candidates: M3, 911, S4. The highway is not a race track. No do I have to endure the harshness of my 996 to have neck breaking speed and a boat load of "cool factor". This thing is a serious wolf in sheeps clothing. The power, torque and hp, is amazing. The ride is plush, more body roll than my Porsche and BMW, even with the sport suspension, but I got over it quick enough. It is still well composed in the twisties. I am waiting for my H&R lowering springs to arrive and for $600 the body roll be gone. Cops don't even notice it. Great car! Of course it eats tires and gas, but a car with 386 ft #s of torque should!
Favorite Features
The engine. Also very quiet for a cabriolet. Top down it is quieter than a 350Z with the top up.
Suggested Improvements
The brakes are a little weak initially, but put your foot and it stops - about the same as my 5 series BMW but requires more pedal pressure. Needs more rubber, 18s with 265s would be a nice improvement.

CLK550: Use EDP to drive it on Autobahn!
Vehicle
2007 Mercedes-Benz CLK-Class CLK550 2dr Convertible (5.5L 8cyl 7A)
Review
If you get a CLK550 Cabriolet, the sport suspension option is a must have. Had mine trucked down to N. Cal. from Wash. State, since it was only one in Western USA with sport suspension (for me), run flats (for wife), backseat side airbags (for son), and P3 option (best front seats). It has every opt. except power trunk closer. This is the best Mercedes I've every owned, and been loyal customer since bought 380 SL in 1982! Solid build, no problems, performs better than last year's AMG model for $20K less, quiet with the top up. 0-60 mph on mine is much faster than 5.1 sec. spec. It can go 65+ on 25mph curved exit w/o ESC. Wish I could take it to Germany and drive it on the Autobahn!
Favorite Features
Engine, Acceleration, Sport Suspension, 7-speed with paddle shifters, Brakes, Keyless Go, Harmon Kardon, Steering wheel controls. Beautiful car in black metallic with black ragtop and black leather. Hearing Howard Stern again on the Sirius satellite radio!
Suggested Improvements
Treo 700wx phone works with bluetooth but you can't upload the address book. Sirius radio tuner seems slow, and easy to lose reception even under tree cover. Glovebox should be lockable. Cupholder(s) in the back seat and parking sensors that detect the curb would be nice to have cuz bumper is low.

Glad I bought the V8
Vehicle
2007 Mercedes-Benz CLK-Class CLK550 2dr Coupe (5.5L 8cyl 7A)
Review
Bought the car with what I think to be the standard exterior styling package which makes the car look like an AMG tuned sports car (with AMG rims etc). Has beautiful Cappuccino Brown/Black Leather-Sport leather seating with an amazing leather interior. More comfortable interior than any coupe in its class. Test drove new 3-series coupe but fell in love with the powerful CLK. with 3500 miles, still have fun and remain comfortable driving the car. Must get Xeon lights and ventilated multi-contour seats for maximum comfort.
Favorite Features
Smooth and agile 5.5 Liter V-8, handling, great sound system, must have adjustable seats, and strong/muscular exhaust note
Suggested Improvements
Navigation system difficult to operate while driving, more standard features, and need to reintroduce AMG coupe to segment

Close to Perfection...and I'm not easy
Vehicle
2007 Mercedes-Benz CLK-Class CLK350 2dr Coupe (3.5L 6cyl 7A)
Review
I've owned other models of MBZ, several BMW's and some Jaguars. They have all been beautiful, but only one or two of the MBZs have had been as close to perfect as this car. It has the quality of a new Lexus and the stylishness of an old Jaguar. And I'm not easy to please.
Favorite Features
Body style. Pure beauty.
Suggested Improvements
I admit it. I want a functional and convenient cup holder.

Don't miss CLK550
Vehicle
2007 Mercedes-Benz CLK-Class CLK550 2dr Coupe (5.5L 8cyl 7A)
Review
With just 200 miles on the odometer, this car already says it all, power, comfort, and agility. There are probably other cars with more of each, but this one has a nice balance of all three. The Harmon Kardon sound system is worth the upgrade. However, the sound from the engine is even better. Just wish it had "real" fuel and temp gauges.
Favorite Features
Engine, Harmon Kardon sound system
Suggested Improvements
"Real" fuel/temp gauges

Luxury and performance
Vehicle
2007 Mercedes-Benz CLK-Class CLK550 2dr Coupe (5.5L 8cyl 7A)
Review
So far this is a pretty rare car on the road probably because it's so highly priced yet not so flashy. I've owned this car for two weeks and put on about 900 miles. The acceleration/power is breathtaking and makes me smile every time I drive this car. The suspension is soft enough to ride comfortably in NYC. And very quiet! I love everything about this car!
Favorite Features
Integrated navigation system, Logic 7 audio, satelite radio, xenon lights, power!
Suggested Improvements
Fuel economy. More modern interior style maybe?
