I am on the fence about buying one of these two automobiles. Both are selling for about the same price ($10K) and have about the same amount of milage (65K). I'm leaning towards the Benz because it is a one-owner car (vs 3 owners for Jag), but like the bigger engine on the Jag and the AWD + the sunroof. Thanks for your feedback..I was at the dealer yesterday since it has become a frustration which lead me to the dealer for some resolution..The manager was with me in the vehicle and we did everything which needed to be done to resolve the issue..at one point in time, the system just canceled the command, he feels that there may be a glitch in the system..I was told ... We used regular .... yes ..regular for 4 years in our E and for almost a year (since 12/22/2007) ...regular in our 2008 C-300 Lux. No problems of any kind. When we went some years ago (from Florida) to North Carolina, we experimented first with regular (and when the tank was almost empty), we put midgrade. Then we filled up with premium. We took delivery of the first W204 in the NW region on Aug 9, 2007. Ours is a C300 Lux [I hate the look of the AMG add-ons on the Sport, and I don't like staggered wheels, so the Sport was not an option], and now has about 9500 miles. I leased a 2007 C230 in July 2007. I but $2550 down and my total payment was $379 a month, 15,000 miles a year for 27 months. Some advice for you after having bought 3 mercedes: -Do not buy the earlier year mercedes-the reliability of the more recent years seems to have improved per Consumer Reports -Consider finding a new 2007 C230 if you absolutely must have a mercedes. I owned a Lexus Rx300 and had porblem after problem with it and the dealer repair cost was silly. I traded it out for a c240 2004 and loved it and had no problems with it and just six weeks ago my dealer called asking if i would like to swap out my 240 for a 2007 c230 sport.
