Review
Am giving all "10" review based on price versus features and performance. Fun and agile car to drive with lots of luxury. Smooth 7sp tranny and engine is fine. The tranny always finds right gear and love the comfort mode and sport mode. Get 30 mpg on road...great sports sedan. First MB, not my last
Favorite Features
Drive train..engine and tranny. Plus, long list of std luxury features. Just 'feel' the quality when you sit in car, shut door, and drive.

I get 32 mpg on highway and 23 mpg in city driving. I don't understand how people can rate the mpg less than ten. This is my third M-B, and I love it as much as my prior two. It requires very little maintenance expenditures. All I have spent $ for since I purchased it was for 2 tires and the usual oil and filter changes.
Favorite Features
The way it drives is outstanding.
Suggested Improvements
NONE.

2006 Mercedes-Benz C-Class C280 Luxury 4dr Sedan (3.0L 6cyl 7A)
Review
My C280 is the sixth MB I have owned from the same dealership. I have always been happy, until this car. At first, it was what I had come to expect from MB. Now, after 64,000 miles, there are creaks and squeaks, the "check engine" light comes and goes, and the silver trim on the interior is peeling away. Adding the ultimate insult, I visited the dealership to trade for a new one, and was offered $12,000 for trade. YIKES! On a three year old car! The resale value was enough to send me running to the nearest Cadillac dealership, and the plastic finish in the C300 didn't help. The CTS 3.6L out performed the C300 hands down. The luxury finish out sealed the deal.
Favorite Features
Style and comfort. The C280 is a cruiser. A little small for trips over 4 hours, but a great way to get there if you have to drive.
Suggested Improvements
NEVER go cheap on the interior of a European luxury car! For $41,000, I expect the interior to go the distance.

Review
This car is fast! Let me rephrase that, it's VERY fast. The car should be driven for fun, not for comfort or fuel economy. The ride is very stiff, but that's what you want in a sports car. Don't bother looking at the mpg's (11-14 city, 18-22 hway). Interior build quality seems below my old 1997 C230 which is a bit disappointing for a sedan that msrp's for 60K. There is a lot of plastic on the dash, and most controls feel cheap to the touch. But who cares? This car is FAAAAAST!
Favorite Features
Brutal acceleration! Unique front end that looks like the CLK. Sleeper look. The instrument cluster is pretty nice, and interesting since it doesn't follow the traditional Mercedes center speedometer look.
Suggested Improvements
Operating a moon lander is probably a simpler task than to figure out how to enter an adress in the NAV system. The AMG seats, although look very cool, are not very comfortable, especially on long trips. Interior materials and build quality are worse than the C- Class 10 years ago.

Review
This car was my 18th birthday gift from my parents last April (I know! How am I not spoiled?...) Anyway, they made a big deal out of driving it up in the middle of the party, and it stunned like only a Mercedes can! I still get a lot of attention for driving this car, and I love it. It's a real lady killer. The level of performance is great, and the interior is very comfortable. On long drives home from college, I often find myself just hunkering down in the leather seats and enjoying the ride. It's got great torque for passing and red lights. I love the design, too, both inside and out. This is, in my opinion, one of the sportier of the less expensive MBs. A definite recommendation!
Favorite Features
comfort. performance. sunroof! upgraded sound system. the engine isn't that impressive, so I love how quiet the ride is. control column layout is very convenient. fuel economy is great--I rarely find myself getting below 20, and on long trips I often get 30+

Great car while in warranty !!!!!!!

Review
The design department did its job flawlessly with the C-Class; The car is a delight to drive when new and shows great composure on the road and lots of punch, inside the car you are surrounded by exquisite quality (if you choose the OPTIONAL luxury packages), but beneath the skin there is a time bomb. Materials, components and especially electrics and electronics are a nightmare and they seem to be designed to withstand only the use for 3 yrs / 60,000 miles. I experienced serious problems with electrics and electronics, AT gearbox (transmission conductor), steering rack (!!!), countless electrical surges and...lousy dealer service. Treat yourself with A NEW MB, BUT ONLY WITHIN WARRANTY !
Favorite Features
Looks, driving experience, pleasant for long haul, quality build (inside), excellent engine, good fuel economy
Suggested Improvements
Drivetrain, auto gear box, electrics and electronics are shambles, pathetic quality of the water-based paints, dealership service from A-Z (the only good experience is provided by the receptionists...), maintenance costs, sell the company to BMW or Toyota (Lexus) :-)

"iron fist in a velvet glove"

2006 Mercedes-Benz C-Class C55 AMG 4dr Sedan (5.4L 8cyl 5A)
Review
I originally bought this vehicle because my wife would not let me buy a E39 M5 due to the manual transmission, so I had resigned myself to a life of commuting boredom without my beloved 3rd pedal. "At least I'll have the big V8 to listen to while I wait for the transmission to catch up to my right foot" I thought. Well, I was wrong. The AMG SpeedShift is extremely impressive in daily use; it is very rarely in the wrong gear and is tuned for an enthusiast driver. Sport mode is very entertaining and Comfort isn't a blatant sacrifice to the EPA mileage gods. This, coupled with the prodigious amounts of torque and deep exhaust note, make for an entertaining drive even in traffic.
Favorite Features
I never thought I would say it, but I really like the auto trans. I also like the engine, exhaust note, precise steering, high quality interior materials, and firm but comfortable suspension. The understated looks help you blend into traffic, at least until you floor it and can't hide the V8.
Suggested Improvements
Don't bother with the nav system; it is very outdated and hard to use by today's standards. The sound system is average at best, unfortunately. Just turn it off and listen to the engine instead.

2006 Mercedes-Benz C-Class C350 Sport 4dr Sedan (3.5L 6cyl 6M)
Review
All I can say is this car is amazing. Very fast car and very smooth shifting (7G-Tronic Tranny). This car is a sleeper (don't expect it to be that fast). The sport model came in 7 speed auto and 6 speed manual. The car is able to beat and keep up with very fast cars. Beat - (G35 Sedan, G35 Coupe, 328, 330, ML500, A4). Very fun to drive and pretty rare.
Favorite Features
Power!!!!!!!!!!! The only car that comes near it is the IS350 and BMW 335.

Problem is that the c230 looks similar and people think it's a c230 and always try to race you or give you a hard time. They think you changed the badge to c350. Boy were they in a surprise.

I purchased this car a couple of days ago. One word..."WOW." Performance was very surprising. The acceleration was great and is easy to handle. Very smooth. The sleek look for me is part of the appeal.
Favorite Features
Interior is well put togehter. Everything easily within reach.
Suggested Improvements
Maybe a little more cabin room, but not a husge concern.
