Gbrown, Thank you for this information. I will look them up. Talking to various Mercedes owners, I understand that Mercedes has had this problem with all models not just the C-class. Computer problems I understand is the biggest complaint. I have two friends who got rid of their Mercedes within 6 months of their purchase. One car was an ML and the other an E-class. ... Hi all and I apologize that this is so long. I had a 2002 C240 (purchased at the end of March 2002) that was involved in a serious car accident in Feb 04. ok so we all hear the air pump, but does anyone else have a severe metallic rattle from a c230k 2002 with the 2.3 kompressor engine that starts a few seconds after start up if it sits overnight and lasts about 5 seconds long......if so i would like to compare notes, mercedes ahs had my car several times, they orderd and replaced a special cam gear from germany supposed ... I've purchased my new 2002 C230 Kompressor in late February. A week after I'm purchased this wonderful ride - it shut down on the highway. In between I had a speaker repaired that was blown out, an air vent was off line and on 2 separate occasions, my car has again been in the repair shop for additional service, because the car has shut down 2 more times. I purchased a 2002 C320 and it came with the phone cradle for a Motorola V60. It is right underneath the armrest. I think it is an extra option to have the cradle, so it may not have it even though the controls are on the steering wheel. You also have to purchase a Mercedes Motorola V60, which is pricey (I think around $700!). I bought mine on ebay for under $250. I already ... Read More...

Paid about $28k, and this one was fully loaded with the CD changer, phone cradle, heated seats, etc. Best things was it only had 10k miles on it, couldn't believe it. 1.
