Good power. Good pickup. Great on the freeway. Very sporty looking and comfortable. May be too many unecessary features. However, car vibrates at 40 miles an hour. The dealer could not find any problems.
Favorite Features
Ability to check engine oil electronically with steering wheel control panel.
Suggested Improvements
Sportier dash and should come standard with alarm system.

Keeps getting better with age! Awesome to drive for long periods - no fatigue due to excellent seats and suspension calibration for high speed driving. Acceleration is better than advertised - M3s beware!! And the brakes are eye popping. Not to say this vehicle is not without shortcomings, but the shortcomings are relatively minor.
Favorite Features
No specific favorite features, except the 4 doors and elegant, sleeper appearance in Tectite Grey. Works wonderfully for a sedan. Drive a Modena 430 when I want a sports car!
Suggested Improvements
Slightly larger anti-sway bars on front and rear to reduce body lean during aggressive cornering. Renntech offers these. Also, I would like to have a badge delete option. Finally, a spare tire would be reassuring. Too soon to trade for a C55.
Even better than my 1982 240D(220K)!

Dead solid perfect automobile. Five- speed auto "bat" R/L instant downshift- upshift. Man, my brake-pads are gonna last 50K mi. at this rate. Getting consistently 20-21mpg in-town, or with the occasional Houston trip, upwards of 26mpg. Only two problems in 32 mos.(Both warranty--no cost): 1. Replacement horn. 2. New left front turn-signal lamp.
Favorite Features
1. Accelleration--P/W ratio(0- 60=6.9sec. 2. Looks, cachet. 3. Fold-down rear-seats open to trunk. 4. Comfort, driveability(!). 5. A/C HEPA air filter + recirc. switch.
Suggested Improvements
1. Bigger, more prominent tachometer. 2. Option for larger wheels w/o screwing up speedo/odo electronics.

Review
The car is delightful to drive, fast, handles nice, etc. Car looks better coming, than going! Love the ability to make seat position really high for us short folks. Visibility is good, front seats are very comfortable. Lots of room in back seat area. Got great mileage at 60 MPH on long trip, averaged 35-38 MPG. Engine is quiet, ride is great. Dealer recommends the highest grade gas, but I've used the cheaper and it works fine.. no pings, appears to have same pick-up, etc. Love the sunroof, although have had problems with rattles and sticking. Overall though, I love this car!
Favorite Features
Favorites are: sunroof, pick-up, comfortable seats, ability to sit high in seats for great visibility for short folks. Quality is there.
Suggested Improvements
Improvements would be, change location of lever to recline front seats with manual operation .. awkward to get at especially with full sheep skin covers! Would also change drink holder contraption.. has broke once and is awkward to use after initial fascination with it's unfolding.

Hands down the best car I've ever owned. Solid build quality and breath taking performance. The acceleration and tight handling allow you to jump in and out of traffic with ease. The cabin is comfortable and functional, though it could do with some more usable storage up front. The only unscheduled maintenance has bee a recurring problem with the lighting system causing it to burn out bulbs about every six months. Fortunatly the vehicle has auxillary lamps that function in place of the main ones when they fail, so the car remians safe to drive until it can be serviced.
Favorite Features
Acceleration, ride, handeling, comfort, awesome 10 speaker Bose sound system, and build quality
Suggested Improvements
More storage up front, eliminate problems with external lighting, less body roll in hard cornering

The electrical system in this car is sad. It has been in for service 8 times in 2 years. This includes 4 fan motors for AC, new control panel for AC,computer control panel x2, the dashboard display and 2 alternators. The door handle fell off and the glove box broke probably from the numerous times the dashboard was removed. Having driven a minivan (96000 miles), and 2 GM conversions vans-the last for 8 years and 95,000 miles I thought I would upgrade to a quality vehicle. Sadly, I was disappointed. I was planning on giving this car to my teenage daughter because of the safety features and her deep love for the handling, but it is simply too unreliable.
Favorite Features
I love the ride and handling. It is comfortable and fun to drive. Great sound system.
Suggested Improvements
Put in an electrical system that works!

I have never, in my life, had a car as bad as this Benz....for over 3 yrs of ownership, my car has been in the "shop" more than I've driven it. As soon as it's fixed with one problem, 2 days later it has another. I've givin it plenty of chances...25 strikes, your OUT. So,the only option now is to say good buy to it forever.!
Favorite Features
Lots of airbags

Electrical needs to be modified, transmission, weak car..no tork. Make it like you used to! A real German car...

This pieceof crap has been in for service 17 times in 25 months. A hoot to drive but the build quality and component parts are just rock bottom. The tuetonic elves have much to learn. This week it was in for 2 days because the parking brake tolerance was so small that as the weather warmed the brakes appied themselves. New rotors and disc were required. All under warrenty mind you but still. I don't want to know the entire service department my name.
Favorite Features
rear wheel drive, cornering, weight distribution, high speed excelleration
Suggested Improvements
Ask the Japanese how to do quality control on parts made outside the main plant.
