The 6.2L V8 makes 518 hp and sounds incredible. The superb 7-speed automatic combines the best attributes of conventional automatics and dual-clutch transmissions. There's a new Race Start feature which enables maximum acceleration.
Everyday handling is very sporty and the limits are surprisingly high. The active body control creates a sensation of inboard lean at cornering limit, but produces great performance numbers during instrumented testing.
Great ride quality over most surfaces with good damping. Just a little skittishness when travelling over bumpy surfaces at speed. Driver-adjustable driving dynamics with a discernable difference in each setting.
Quiet with the metal roof up. There's just a bit of tire noise. When the revs climb there's a lot of engine noise, but it sounds amazing.
For the audio controls it takes several presses of the arrow keys to make most changes. Most of the other controls are relatively straightforward, but a few, like the odometer's trip reset, are unnecessarily difficult to operate.
The front visibility is very good over the long hood. The rear pillars are slightly thick, but they don't impair rear visibility significantly.
Seat Access & Space
The 12-way adjustable seats have almost every adjustment imaginable, but this also makes it difficult to get comfortable quickly. There's an optional headrest heater fan to keep you warm with the top down when it's cold outside.
Cargo & Storage
There are many small useful compartments, especially the storage boxes behind the seats. Small trunk space, but trunk access is possible with top stowed and there is protective hard cover so your dainties don't get squashed.
Generally good-feeling controls, except for cheap-feeling HVAC temperature bezels. Sound body structure and solid door closure sound. Tight interior and exterior build quality.
It takes only 17 seconds to lower the metal top that?s solid and nicely lined with a suedelike material.
