2004 Mercedes-Benz S-Class S500 Rwd 4dr Sedan (5.0L 8cyl 7A)
Review
This car replaced identical 2000 S
Class which had numerous electrical and
computer problems. New model is free
from these glitches. Never had
mechanical problem with Mercedes. Enjoy
the quality of the burl walnut and
interior appointments. New features
that I like are the power trunk,keyless
go start on the shift knob, voice
control on nearly everything,power
curtains, digital readout of tire
pressures and a much improved
navigational system on DVD. Car remains
very responsive with sharp turning
radius. I don't need AMG assist for my
driving.It appears to me M-B has given
us many innovations that are quickly
copied by other manufactures.
Favorite Features
Lighted Mercedes Benz name on door
entry sill. No key entry and start
system. Power assist door closure.
Power assist brakes and other numerous
safety features leaving you with the
impression this is one safe car.
Suggested Improvements
Time for a face lift. Would recommend a
slightly bigger body for the S Class
with improved trunk space. Needs one
single touch(not continous pressure as
now required) to adjust seat position.
Leather could still be softer. Front
drinking cup holders are still
atrocious.
