My husband and I leased a ML350 2013 in August, 2012. Less than a week later we returned to the dealer with requests for needed work which included testing of the brakes. The brakes when applied made the car lunge forward, leading to severe tightening of the seat belts, especially on the passenger side. This was not corrected. We also reported that the cruise control was not working comparable to our past 8 Mercedes. No luck. In February we addressed the same issues with the dealership and this time a test drive was requested. The service advisor attempted to discredit me (being female) for my driving abilities. However, to date, I have no citations, nor accidents on my record, and had commute 70 miles to work daily for many years. In regards to the cruise control we were told "that is the way it is supposed to work" like the comment earlier. Again, in August 2013, the SUV was taken to the dealer for annual service with the same concerns--no help. On October 2, 2013, my husband and I were approaching a stop light on a city street, low speed, and the brakes did not engage and he hit the car in front of us. I saw him apply the brake. Damages to the two cars were in excess of $10,000 each. Our dealership of 24 years will not talk to us. Our insurance is covering repairs. We want others to know that Mercedes is not too "good" to fail.Report it
