After your comment I 100% agree with you on waiting for 2 more month to payoff your lease first and have better room to negotiate. Otherwise they will include these 2 payment into your ML lease... I have come to the same conclusion on the blutec Mercedes. I don't like the urea treatment business. If I could find a super clean 2007-08 ML or GL CDI I would grab it. Then sell this gas guzzling Sequoia. same goes for those horrible run flat tires.

I own a R320 CDI 2008, bought new. Fantastic car, it is the most comfortable Mercedes I have ever owned. We get 21/22 mpg in town; 28/30 mpg on highway. The cruise control if fantastic for interstate and here in mountains, when we go down our very steep grades, the cruise will keep car from overrunning the speed you set. I change my own oil. I've owned the 2003 ML350 (same as 2005) and currently have the 2007 ML350. 1. 2003 is a body on frame, very truck-like, better for towing and off-roading. 2007 is unibody/car-based so much better handling, quieter ride, stiffer chassis, and more car-like drive. 2. In our experience, the 2007 has had MORE problems. I know the 2006's had issues with the power rear door but was corrected with a new sensor. ... Read More

Yes the old DOHC 32V V8 was a monster back in the day, and the particular hp/torque figures you qouted are from its application in the legendary W124 500E/E500 of the early nineties.
