2003 Mercedes-Benz M-Class ML500 AWD 4dr SUV (5.0L 8cyl 5A)
I purchased 4 Mercedes in 2003, (2) ML500, (1) 500S and (1) E500 The ML500's had fuse box fans that squealed for a half hour in the morning. Serious brake and tire problems. Each ML required new tires at 25,000 miles. Each has had the brakes replaced twice in 46,000 miles. ($1,400 for brakes) At 53,000 miles the brakes squeal so bad they are embarrassing to drive. Each has been in about a dozen times for various repairs. Top dollar, inferior quality, design problems and miserable service. Avoid these automobiles.
The ML55 AMG is a "Sexy Beast". It is
faster than 90%of the cars on the
road. It's a fuel hunger SUV; But What
would you expect for a 342 HP SUV?
It's a rocket launcher! I love
everything about my silver bullet.
My favorite features are the rims,
power doom hood, fender flares, wood
trim, NAV, 342 hp, xenon lights, front
bumber, rear bumper, heated seats,
phone, fog lights, safe box, and just
about every other thing in it.
Having owned a variety of BMW's, MB's,
and Lexus's, I can say that the ML 55
is simply for those that want an SUV
that is all beast when you hit the
gas. It lacks some of the basic
conveniences and creature comforts that
are found in lesser vehicles, but when
you hit the gas, take a hard corner,
and need it to respond, it there for
you. No sissies need apply.
