2013 Mercedes-Benz GLK-Class GLK350 4dr SUV (3.5L 6cyl 7A)
Having read as many reviews of the GLK as possible I have come to the conclusion that the average American is so spoiled they have have lost sight of what is to have an exceptional vehicle.
One reviewer complained about the stitching on the steering wheel, several about the room in the back seat, others about the cheap materials on all models prior to 2013.
Yes it is expensive and yes the maintenance costs are higher than average, and yes the mpg could be better as in all SUV's.
Everyone knows that.
Buy a Honda and if you think it is too small then you didn't pay attention when you test drove it, if you did.
Visibility; smooth, quiet ride;
comfortable seats w/memory for seat, steering wheel, exterior mirrors; comfortable back seat;
German engineering in general;
COMAND, nav, sound quality of standard radio;
beautiful color (pebble gray metallic) and LED running lights, rear lights, MB tex (feels like leather - easier to maintain), turning radius, easy to park (I have vision in one eye.)
I do not work for MB.
Blind spot assistant should be standard as should rear view camera (I have that). especially with today's large aging population; packages as in all vehicles today are too complicated.
Either raise the price of the car and make some of them standard or itemize more of them.
Rather than throw all GLK information into one fat manual, including Canadian or European models,
separate info specific to each one if not in additional manuals then color coded in one.
Glove box is cooled with a/c which is "cool". But there is barely enough room for the manuals and a few chocolate bars.
All models should have extra storage under front seats.
