2011 Mercedes-Benz GLK-Class GLK350 4dr SUV (3.5L 6cyl 7A)
We just returned and terminated our 3-year leased 2008 E350 5 months earlier last week and decided to lease this 2-wheel drive GLK-350. We have driven the E350 for the 3rd year but could never get used to it, because every time we got into it, we felt cramped and always got the phobia with lot of blind spots all around, its wheel base is too long to make easy turns into any shopping center entrance opening, as the right rear wheel would often hit and ride on the curb and keep damaging the wheel rim and the tire. The E350 drive side rear-view mirror is equipped with a dark auto-dim film, so it makes the driving at night often impaired and dangerous, and it's a very stupid over-killed fixture.
What we like most of the GLK-350 is its great visibility and agile drive train. Not like the E350 when tried to change lanes on the freeways or the city streets, blind spots and the always hesitant sluggish half second delays making the lane change and accelerate always difficult and dangerous. This GLK-350, even powered with 2-wheel drive is a totally different story, none of the problems we experienced on the E350 existed.
Stupid design of the GPS navigation system again by the brain-dead MB GPS naigation system designers again! They've stick to the stupid push-button-knobs worst GPS navigation system for the last decade but still failed to come up a better and perfect GPS navigation system. The only thing they've improved is the higher position of the screen, but when driving, the driving direction is always facing downward, and the female voice is such a disgusting old witch-bitch-like hoarse and corse female voice! The driving direction arrow should be facing upward to give a logic sense of driving direction, how in the world it's facing downward and giving a backward driving feeling? And the godawful voice
