    Written by: Car_man on Sep 27, 2010 3:24:48 AM

I completely agree with you, kdl0013. $5,000 is way too much money to pay at lease signing. If your truck ends up getting stolen or totaled in an accident over the course of your lease, there's a good chance that you'll never see that money again. You're better off putting as little money down as possible when leasing. Lessees through Mercedes-Benz Financial can usually get away with only paying their vehicle's ... Read More

Hi kooper. The residual value that you were quoted is right on the money, but the money factor is a little high. Mercedes-Benz Financial's September buy rate lease money factor for a 36 month lease of a 2010 GLK 350 4Matic is .00217 for consumers who qualify for its top credit tier. Written by: Car_man on Mar 1, 2010 2:54:08 AM

Hey landrover1. Generally speaking, manufacturers' advertised lease payments leave a little meat on the bone so to speak. MB's official payment on the 2010 GLK350W4 assumes a dealer discount of around $800. The advertised vehicle probably has a gap of around $2,600 between its full MSRP and dealer invoice price. That means that the price used in the ad is probably around $1,800 or so over invoice. There's definitely some room ... Read More

I'm looking at the GLK too, but I'm not in the market immediately. I would wait a few more months; not sure if there will be any difference other then the rumored Diesel version. I first laid eyes on the GLK back in December of 2008; the showroom had just received their one and only floor model. I was impressed immediately. This new baby Benz will hit U.S. showrooms in January 2009, and although we aren't able to forecast what the gas price will be right then, it seems unlikely that it will be appreciably lower than it is now.
