Think about it - your company is paying for the equity YOU will earn over the equivalent 36 month lease. If you call 800 for Mercedes, you will be told the info differently. To me 2008 is the year for all MB diesel models to be accepted by all 50 states, 51 if you include the place we are there.

LOL! This is what deteriorates the AMG product line: too many products. They really should limit the AMG's to sedans and roadsters/coupes. Wagons, "Sports Tourers", and SUVs do not need 800,000,000hp like Mercedes-Benz has made many wealthy Americans believe. Anyone up for a 2008 $120,000 R65 AMG? Thought so.

The only two V6 diesels Mercedes has are the new 3.0L V6 and outgoing 3.2L I6. The 3.7L V6 in the old ML350 was a variation of the old 3.2L 3-Valve gasoline V6. The new diesel V8 is a 4.0L. V8 CDI Engine New V6 CDI Engine It would be nice, but I doubt we'll see the V8 CDI here in anything other than maybe a 2008 model S-Class. M

We need an "Emotorcon" that signifies sarcasm. While I am of the opinion that the BMW and the Cadillac were both stock, the differences seem to boil down to the fact that the STS we were offered had the optional (but I would imagine fully stock componentry) sport suspension, tires and wheels -- and as I conjectured, inflated to the max. The BMW although technically a 2005 was the OLD lower ... Read More

You realize that if stupidity were a crime, 98% of the world would be locked up. This is very true. The funny part is that the police here couldn't believe what their radar was telling them. They actually went to a Honda dealer to confirm that the particular bike he was riding could actually do 160mph. They didn't have a clue. He got a 1 year suspension of his license and ... Read More

Actually the B-Class isn't on hold because of money problem at Mercedes. It was put on hold for sale in the U.S. because of the Euro/Dollar situation. In other words they would have had to price it so high to make money that it wouldn't be competive. The B-Class itself isn't on any type of hold and will go on sale in Europe this summer. The Euro situation is the reason ... Read More

I think it was bigrobnh who mentioned finding a 2000 E-Class with an extended warranty. That's an extremely good point that could save you a bundle in repair costs for the next 5.5 years or so, or up to 100,000 miles -- if you opt for the Mercedes For example, my 2000 E320 has less than 15,000 miles and also has the extra-cost 4-year MB warranty extension. That means that I'll ... Read More
