2006 Mercedes-Benz CLK-Class CLK350 2dr Convertible (3.5L 6cyl 7A)

Review

Had a '98 SL500 and went to this Black top over Alabaster White CLK350C with no regrets. 6 Cyl. is superb, no need for V8, which is a big concession for me. Agree with all other reviewers on positives. While in dash cup holder works, center console cup holder with tall cup is in the way of arm when using shifter. 7 speed tranny is fantastic and performs beautifully and not with low speed "clunks" like my '06 ML 500 w/all wheel drive.

Best Features

Great gas mileage. Cruise control holds speed up and down hills. Actually brakes going down. Seats are very comfortable and lots of space for tall driver (unlike SL 500). 7 Speed trans. and ability to shift manually.

Worst Features

Cushion top of center arm rest with lift lid; Navigation could be more user friendly - go to touch screen instead of joy stick; Make closing trunk lid easier or make a power closer standard. Reduce cost of cell phone installation since "hands free" phone use will soon be universally required.
