Have you also considered getting written offers from competitor companies like Mercedes-Benz and Audi. doing so makes them fight even harder for your money. They see you out doing research beyond just what they have it becomes very beneficial at the negotiating table

While the current E-Class doesn't quite make the grade for this forum, the NEXT generation might surprise all of us. Quick peak here: 2009 E-Class? Appreciate that! Looks pretty sweet to me! Hope it makes it there. Never been very impressed with Mercedes' sedans style. Looks like a step in the right direction. :)

BTW, blkhemi did respond to my question about whether or not BlueTec was recently improved enough to eliminate the need for the urea additive (in the 5 most restrictive states, including California, where I reside). Based on the pictures below it appears BMW's future will lack Bangle's influence and be substituted with blandest of bland styling. remember reading a discussion on the similarities between a Volvo S40 and the Mazda 3. They officially share the same platform; but have different engines, HVAC, suspensions, floorboards, insulation…practically everything is different. Apparently your above statement is correct based on Merc1's post below. Nothing has been officially decided or announced about a new 300 or a E-Class. You're missing the point/connection here, which is hybrids. Of course a C-Class has nothing to do with an S-Class buyer's habbits. There is no connection between that scenario and the Prius and the LS600h. With increasing globalization, the heritage factor has assumed a new role and is no more the dominant factor. And yes the pace at which we are moving, 35 years is more than enough. I would say you can duplicate that success in 20 years. Which means in 2009, when Lexus celebrates its 20th, we will have a toast and to germans too, who have sustained such competition. I too think there will be a S450, just not right now. I really don't think adding a 335hp S450 will actually help sales in the short term. The S450 is going to have to get more competitive under the hood or come in under or at best at the same price as the A8L and 750Li, it can't cost 77K like the old S430 for it to be competitive with ... Hi All, I've been reading an older issue of Jaguar World in which it talks about the furor of Jaguar owners after the release of downmarket cars such as the X-Type and X-Type Wagon..Buyer loyalty has fallen and Jaguar isn't expected to make a profit until 2009..
