Re: 2012 Mercedes C 300 4 dr luxury - lease [oddsr]
Written by: soupaman on Nov 22, 2011 11:58:41 AM
Hi oddsr, Looks like a decent deal, but could be better. Here are my thoughts. 1) The numbers you are being quoted are aligned. Meaning, the money factor plus residual plus cap cost plus term all result in the two monthly figures ($380 and $417 respectively) so their math is good. 2) Lease acquisition fee of $995 probably includes $200 profit for the dealer, but then again your Doc fee is ... Re: Leasing a 2011 C300 [arajk]
Written by: Car_man on Oct 9, 2011 4:45:20 PM
Hi Anand. The pre-paid maintenance package sounds a little expensive to me. Sure, maintenance at Mercedes' dealers is pricey, but all you really have to do is make sure that you have your vehicle's oil changed on a regular basis and you should be fine. The money factor that you were quoted is right on the money. Car_man Host Prices Paid: Buying & Leasing Experiences Forum

C250 Sport Lease Terms
Written by: deal_maker on Oct 4, 2011 8:54:36 PM
I was just at a south Florida dealer and saw the October 2011 C-Class sheet: 30 mos 10K miles 70% residual .00195 = Tier 1 money factor * this seems very high when bank rates are near 0 Conquest = (2,000) discount The dealers do have the ability to upgrade miles and play with residual. For example, my saleswoman gave us 12K miles for same 70% vs. lower 67% residual from ... Read More

Should I wait a few weeks?
Written by: kh98 on May 4, 2011 12:38:19 PM
I wanted to lease a 2011 Mercedes C-300 last week but I didn't act on it. I was going to lease it in April, and back then, I was getting quoted approx $500/month with $5000 down for 36 months. Now in May with the different (or lack of) incentives, I'm getting quoted approx $700/month for the same car/same specs (I want navigation sport package, don't need 4matic).. The dealer told me ... No. Go out and buy a 2008 C300 sport,45,000 miles, same car, for $23,000, add an extended warranty for $3000, total 26,000. You are paying $19,180 to lease the new one, and you have nothing in three years. Sell the 2008 C class in three years, get about $16,000 for it, sell the remainder of the extended warranty back to Mercedes for around $800, and you get $16,800 in three years. ... Read More

Hi camryse. I believe that Mercedes-Benz Financial's current buy rate lease money factor for the 2011 C300 4Matic is .00128. Dealers are allowed to mark this factor up to try to add hidden profit to deals. This is likely what the first dealer was trying to do to you.
